Congressional Staffer to run for Dana Point City Council

Several reliable sources are telling me that Lou Penrose, a long time Republican activist/staffer will run for an open seat on the Dana Point City Council this fall. Currently working as the District Director for Congressman John Campbell, Lou is hoping to succeed Diane Harkey who is moving up to the California State Assembly.
Those that know Lou will attest to his commitment to the conservative causes and our party. Aside from his congressional duties, Lou is also chairing the Republican Party of Orange County 400 Club. All it takes is $150 to be a 400 Club member.
As of this moment, Lou hasn't open a campaign committee yet nor does he have a campaign consultant. Not sure if he really need one for a small city like Dana Point. Lou can just walk the entire city 5 times from now until November and everyone would know him.

Politics Behind the Orange Curtain

Poorly written but great for Lou!
Way to go Lou! DeMo was sitting here at my desk when we got the news. Call us. Radio is still wonderful in the High Desert.
Why Dana Point?
Yeah, try writing something within 5 minutes in the early morning.
I am really opposed to Congressional District Director's running for and holding public office......
Tomahawk,
You don't follow DP politics much do you. If he is following in Diane's footsteps, he better bring his wallet. Before blowing close to $1 M trying to knock off Harman, Harkey dropped over $180 K to win her seat in Dana Point.
That being said, looking forward to hearing more about Lou. After Harkey, almost ANYONE would be an improvement. Walking and talking to people in a town this size has gotten people elected for a LOT LESS money.
