Carona Update...
The Carona story just keeps getting worse and worse (or better and better, depending how you look at it!). From his shady associates and arrogant sense of entitlement to the [alleged] corruption and the [alleged] sexual harassment, the idea of Carona being "America's Sheriff" becomes even more revolting once your read the synopsis of Donald Haidl's interview with the FBI.
A Contextual Note: Donald Haidl is the dubious former Assistant Sheriff whose son, Gregory, was just paroled after serving three years for raping a girl on a pool table (It appears the apple didn't fall far from the tree). Donald cut a deal with the prosecution. He will not be sentenced for tax evasion charges until after he cooperates and testifies at the Carona trial.
Rather than read some reporter's interpretation of the [alleged] sex, conspiracy, corruption, bankruptcy fraud, and the distribution of badges in exchange for $1,000 campaign contributions, it's best if you just read the thing yourself.

This is a guy that my party just had to endorse back in 2006. Nice. As much as I would love to see the sexy trial that is shaping up, there is no way this makes it that far IMO.
So many abusers of our govt. system, law enforcement and county funds. Like this Assael character who bragged about getting $1,000 into the crooked Sheriff's campaign funds in return for a badge!
Are these abusers going down with little Mikey too?
