Broadwater to Challenge Dalton's Mayorship?

Bill Dalton, the current Mayor of Garden Grove, is a hard working and cautious person. He attends many local events in his city and serves on numerous county boards and commissions. First elected to the mayorship in 2004 against then-Councilman Mark Leyes, Dalton was unopposed in his re-election bid in the '06 cycle.
However, this year, I'm not sure if Bill Dalton will get another free ride as the latest political gossip in town is buzzing that Councilman Bruce Broadwater (pictured right) will mount a challenge against the sitting Mayor. Broadwater served eight years as Mayor before term limits forced him out of office in 2004. After a two year hiatus, the voters of Garden Grove placed him back on the City Council in 2006.
I know that Dalton is not taking any chances as he is already soliciting political endorsements and money in preparation for a possible challenge to his mayorship.
What should be interesting to watch is who will the three other Council Members support. I'm betting that if Broadwater does indeed file for Mayor, he will be endorsed by Steve Jones and Dina Nguyen. As for Mark Rosen, he will probably just stay on the side line.
