A Chance To Introduce Myself
Posted by: Chris Emami | 07/11/2008 9:44 PM
As some people may have noticed I am a newcomer to this fine blog. I just wanted to take a minute to introduce my self to all of the readers with a quick biography of myself:
I was born and raised in Orange County currently living in Anaheim Hills. I attended schools within the Orange Unified School District (OUSD) from the 1st grade through earning my High School Diploma from Canyon High in 2003.
In 2006 I ran for school board in OUSD because I felt that we needed a conservative Republican to run in the area that I lived in. I came in second out of three candidates in this race however only one person from each trustee area is elected.
Currently I am on the board with the Orange-Villa Park Republican Assembly as the "Membership Chair", so if you live in this area and want to join CRA please check out the link.
I am currently in my last semester at California State University, Fullerton where I will receive my B.A. in political science. I hope to continue my education by working towards my M.A. in political science or possibly in criminology.
My favorite thing to talk about is that I am a women's basketball coach. I spent the previous 3 years working at Esperanza High School in Anaheim which is a fairly good school in terms of basketball. As the head JV coach I had a record of 70-9 including two tournament championships. My teams have won three Sunset League Championships with a record of 29-1.
I now work at a much better school that is a private high school and a very strong basketball school at that. I have the privilege of working with some great coaches and am excited about my opportunity to coach there.
If any readers ever need to get in contact with me please feel free to shoot me an e-mail at chrisemami@aol.com.

Uh didn't you used to write for Orange Juice? You know, that crazy blog currently being run by Arturo Pedroza?
Matt,
How come when I type in www.redcounty.com I get sent to another site?
C-C-C-A-N
Y-Y-Y-O-N
C-A-N
Y-O-N
GOOOOOOO... CANYON!
No offense Chris, but like the first commenter noted, I have a hard time reading even one word from a former OJ writer without any explanation as to why you jumped ship.
If you fell for Pedroza's spell at one point and have now figured out who he really is, then you should tell us that. If not, then it just looks to me like you're looking for another avenue to post nonsensical rantings, like the rest of your former blogmates (save Larry Gilbert; he's cool).
Care to comment?
Has Art or another of the OJ crowd commented on Chris going thru the Brandeburg Gate to Red County?
Welcome to the blogpen Chris; I'm sure we'll be disagreeing soon, except about women's basketball. I coached a girls 3rd/4th grade team in Irvine last year. I was lucky and had a good group of kids and parents.
Chris left Orange Juice many months ago, so it really isn't accurate to say he "jumped ship" to Red County. He simply responded to the call for bloggers I posted a couple of weeks ago.
I'll leave it to Chris to explain his reasons for parting company with OJ.
Also, Chris isn't our first former OJ blogger. Quang Pham is another. Quang began writing for us while still at OJ, but Art gave him an ultimatum to make a choice, saying he couldn't write for OJ and "The Machine" blog. Quang choose wisely.
I am not going to sit here and throw anybody under the bus. All I can really say is that ideologically I feel that I am more conservative than a number of bloggers on OJ whether or not that is a good or bad thing is for everybody to decide for themselves. As Jubal said I simply responded to a call for bloggers here at Red County when the post was made. What I will say is that I am extremely excited to be a part of Red County.
Welcome Chris! If all we wanted was to listen to our own ideas and not know what the other guys are thinking then we would ban anyone with any other opinion. But, alas, that is not the American way.
"I am not going to sit here and throw anybody under the bus."
No one asked you to throw anyone else under the bus. We just asked for an explanation. If "throwing someone under the bus" is what you think you need to do to explain your coming to Red County, then that alone speaks for itself.
