"Bush Never Lied To Us About Iraq"

Whenever flustered in a discussion about the Iraq War, the cornered liberal will often erupt with a primal scream of "Bush Lied!!!!"
As if proving the theory behind "Newspeak" in the novel 1984, the left-wing penchant for reducing arguments to two or three word epithets reflects the reduction in thought behind those epithets.
But Ii digress. Sort of.
Prominent Democrats and their apologists have claimed ad nauseum that they -- and by extension the nation -- were deliberately mislead into war by the Bush Administration. It doesn't matter that it is a false and self-serving assertion. In the precincts of the Left, it has taken on the quality of dogma.
So it was refreshing to read a voice of the Center-Left stating as much in a Los Angeles Times op-ed earlier this week.

Uhhh... Matt? Bush used only three words to finish off John Kerry. 'Flip-flop' & 'swift boat.'

Thats four words. Even if one is a compound.
The reason it ends up boiling down to a simple "Bush lied" is because when confronted with facts, the neocon simply says "I have not heard that" or something equally lame - as if the ability to NOT pay attention somehow changes reality. An intelligent person can only take this idiocy so long before resorting to breaking it down real simple for ya.
It is not only "liberals" who say Bush lied us into war. Have you NOT paid attention to the official investigations and your very own McClellan (yeah, right - he just wants to sell a book, yada yada yada) who have said these very same things us liberals were saying years ago? Sucks be to late to the game, doesn't it, neocon?
