AD71 Mailbox: Miller Finishes Strong

One of my South County friend's live in a hi-propensity GOP household with one VBM voters and one Election Day voter. In other words, they get all the mail.
Their house has received 6 or 7 Miller pieces since Memorial Day, and just one from Neil Blais -- strong indication one campaign had the resources to run a strong campaign all the way through, and one did not.
My hunch is Blais's hopes are riding on a strong showing among VBMs. He had some good hits on Miller, but Miller dropped his share of bombs on Blais, so it's probably a wash in terms of negative mail. We'll see how strong the "vote OC sentiment" is.
Here's a Miller mailer that landed Saturday and today. It's a positive piece emphasizing Miller's conservatism and ancestral OC ties -- check out the fro in the high school football picture! -- plus a endorsement quote from Rep. Ed Royce.
This piece landed in the middle of last week, zapping Blais for missing a vote to purchase wildland fire engines a month before the big fire.

Almost all of the Miller mail at the end of the campaign has been paid for by unions - not Miller's campaign. So, its not the campaign that had the resources to "finish strong."
But at this point blogging is moot, everyone will see tomorrow who had the stronger campaign.
The two samples posted by Jubal seemed to be paid for by Miller's committee. The only union piece I got was one for Blais from the Orange County firemen.
