"Stand By Your Tran"

An anonymous commenter penned this very clever adaptation of Tammy Wynette's classic "Stand By your Man" to reflect the DPOC's troubles with their man, Hoa Van Tran:
UPDATE: And remember this classic, albeit less acidic, adapation from 2006?
Sometimes its hard to be a DemocratBrilliant.
Giving all your love to just one Tran
You'll have bad times
And he'll have Krazy times
Getting mixed up with Proud Criminals you try to understand
But if you love him you'll forgive him
Even though Edgardo's twisting your hand
And if you endorse him
Oh be proud of him
'Cause after all he's just a Tran
Stand by your Tran!
Give him two jailed gangsters to cling to
And a warm blue Cowboys sweatshirt to come to
When nights are cold and lonely
Stand by your Tran!
And tell all Orange County you endorse him
Don't violate that restraining order if you can
Stand by your Tran!
Stand by your Tran!
And show all Orange County you endorse him
Keep giving all the unreported contributions that you can
Stand by your Tran!
UPDATE: And remember this classic, albeit less acidic, adapation from 2006?

Funny! And on point.
Matt,
It is a shame I quit the Central Committee last week. I would have added friendly amendments that we give Hoa a great big DPOC Group Hug, that we congratulate the cholos on his campaignn for vandalizing the property of supporters of that evil Republican Janet Nguyen and that we all join hands and sing kumbiya.
MAtt, my disgust knows no bounds at this point. Score one for gangs and corruption.
Claudio
Stop it - you're killing me!
I cannot BELIEVE I didn't think of this! Very nice job! *bow*
Claudio, you're NUTS for leaving the Central Committee. We needed you last night.
I'm just still reeling from the fact that Gila and I actually agree on something!

There was a "Stand by your Tan" at a rally in support of the embattled GOP candidate against Loretta Sanchez last time too.
Better get used to it. There are a lot of Vietnamese names that rhyme with man.
$20 bet that Norby wrote that.
