Last week, the Harry Sidhu for Senate campaign aired a attack cable ad against SD33 rival Mimi Walters.
Today, the Walters campaign hit back with its own negative cable ad, slamming Harry as too "politically correct" to "help fight illegal immigration."

Game. set. match!
Team Gilliad once again plays the race card. When will they learn that is does not work in OC ?
I'm sure Mimi is not a racist, or at least I very much hope so. However, while having all kind of tools and technology available to produce hard copy and media creative, yet her staff members chose to darken the photos, turn them into black and white, thrown a Hindu style background etc. Could this have been done unintentionally? I doubt that. Those elements have been intentionally combined together to bring a certain message.
I don't like to use a strong word like 'racist' here, but it is obvious Mimi Walters' message was targeting a certain demographic and it is clearly offensive, discriminatory and degrading to Asian Americans as well as other legal immigrants in our society.
Let’s not forget that unless we are Native Americans our ancestors all emigrated here from different countries. They brought their skill, education and knowledge from all over the world, and I think this is what made our country one of the best countries in the world. Let’s all live in peace and not divide our society based on race or nationality.
On point, sir, above.
I'd remind you though that 'native' americans also migrated here - but earlier.
Yes, she is targeting a certain demographic - American's who are fed up with illegal immigration and politically correct politicians who refuse to do anything about the problem. Good for Mimi!
I just don't get the whole "darken photos" assertion (read: racist).
Is there hard evidence of this?
Or is it just a way to distract from real issues in this election, like illegal immigration?
Personally, I'm a fan of Sidhu's skin color. I don't know why some people are choosing to have him run away from it. It seems like the Sidhu campaign wants the Walters campaign to turn their candidate into Michael Jackson.
To me it seems like Sidhu has been sexist throughout this election. (Wow, I never realized how good it would feel to return fire.)
Sidhu launched attacks in print and on TV doctoring Walters' photos and presenting visuals making her look like a floozie on the take. Then, when Walters returns fire with undoctored graphics
showing Sidhu in a shadowy setting, his supporters cry, "racist".
I have never seen Sidhu in person, but looked at his gallery photos on Sidhu's own web site and there is nothing in Walters ads which make him look like something other than what he look like in his own photos. Crying "racist" is shameful.
