SD33 Watch: "Taxpayers for Safer Neighborhoods" Gunning For Mimi

I was trolling the Daily/Late?Special Filings section of the Secretary of State website and spotted this independent expenditure by an IE committee called "Taxpayers for Safer Neighborhoods."
It's $10,056.00 for a mailer hitting Harry Sidhu's opponent Mimi Walters, which I imagine will land tomorrow or Monday. That'll pay for hitting about 18,000 households. Late hits are often brutal and skate the edge, because there's little time for the target to respond with anything other than a robocall.
I checked who are the contributors to "Taxpayers for Safer Neighborhoods." They include $5,000 from Prime Healthcare Anaheim LLC. Prime Healthcare is owned by Dr. Prem Reddy, and attempted to buy Anaheim Memorial Hospital last year for $55 million -- a deal that was scotched by the state Attorney General's office.
There's also $10,000 from Desert Valley Medical Group -- which was founded by Dr. Prem Reddy.
Then there's another $5,000 from...Dr. Prem Reddy.
And another $5,000 from Laxman Reddy of Prime Healthcare Services -- a relative of Dr. prem Reddy, I assume.
There's also $5,000 from SA Recycling, which has a facility in Anaheim.
Another $20,000 came from John Thomas, owner of Regent Development - which is bidding on the expansion of the Anaheim Convention Center.
Judging from the report, it's Thomas' money paying for the hit on Mimi: his second $10,000 contribution was received on Tuesday, May 27.
There's also $5,000 from Stephen Shultz of Shultz Steel Company, but I'm not sure what the connection is to Harry Sidhu annd Anaheim. More likely it's connected to the committee's $4,747 IE in support of former Torrance Councilman Rod Guyton's attempt to return to his former position.
Thus far, "Taxpayers for Safer Neighborhoods" have spent $31,240 in support of Sidhu, and now another $10K against Mimi.
What's it all mean? Basically, you have a case of donors with business in Anaheim who have a strong interest in being on the good side of an Anaheim Councilman -- and this is a powerful way of saying, "We're with ya, Harry!".

Has anyone noticed how Harry's supporters are always about what favors he has bestowed on them (free tickets) or what favors he will owe them (this new IE) instead of how he will help make this state a better place to live?
By 10 Points... Bet It ....Bank It....Believe It !!!!
Has anyone noticed how Mimi lied to voters before and had to apologize to Harry?
Has anyone noticed how Mimi was misleading the voters and getting shamed by Orange County Grand Jury?!!!!
Has anyone noticed Mimi's racist attacks on Harry which have nothing to do with what he stands for?
Mimi is our government and now all the sudden she came up with the plan?! What prevented her to implement that plan in Sacramento??
Based on what we saw here Mimi has been representing us in the government the same way she runs her campaign - in MISLEADING and DECEPTIVE manner.
Living in Laguna Niguel I didn't get any favors from Harry nor I expect any favors in the future other than protect us and our children from illegal immigrants, tax increases, poor education etc., I just did my homework learning about both candidates. Moreover, I used to vote for Mimi in the last election. I wish I didn't though. I would be ashamed now to be one of her supporters.
I think Harry will be a much much better, honest and effective senator. Our votes will go for Harry.
Dr. Reddy might want to watch himself here. First he was denied a hospital takeover. Now he's conspicuously getting involved in an Orange County legislative race in a district whose constituents might patronize his target hospital. He might not only get denied by the AG. He might get investigated by the AG.
The only deception in this campaign is that which has been exercised by Harry Sidhu and his supporters. He leads with negative mail pieces, negative television advertisements, and then has the audacity to claim he's given up negative campaigning by shredding junk overage pieces. He's also played double agent with the gay Log Cabin group, enthusiastically taking money from them and then claiming he doesn't and won't support their agenda. The list of deceptive tactics by Sidhu never ends.
I wouldn't be surprised if his negatives are so high after this campaign that he's permanently damaged goods, never to return to public office.
