The War of the Robocalls between Harry Sidhu and Mimi Walters continued yesterday. The Sidhu campaign wheeled out old Dick Mountjoy to record a message. The former Senator and co-author of Prop. 187 blasted
Illegal immigration has quickly emerged as the issue of this primary battle. Almost every mail piece from both sides either highlights the candidate's toughness on the issue, or accuses the other candidate of being weak on it.
This is retired Senator Dick Mountjoy, former president of the California Republican Assembly and author of Proposition 187. I'm calling regarding a serious situation in the race for state Senate. The campaign against Harry Sidhu has produced blatantly false information about him. In fact, the campaign has already been forced to issue a statement of apology for putting out false information about Harry. This type of campaign tactic is exactly why we need to change the status quo in Sacramento, and why we need to elect conservative leaders like Harry Sidhu who are true fighters against illegal immigration.
