The post was simply about what happened, I didn't even inject my opinion into it, but again maybe your blind support for a certain candidate is warping your basic comprehension of the English language.

The mailer was deceptive, legal (because she complied with the Reform Act's Sender Identification requirements by identifying her committee on the back) but deceptive.

If a business sent this mailer, they could be sued under California's Unfair Business Practices laws. A different legal standard for political speech applies, but the mailer was deceptive.

Harry Sidhu's silly press conference was deceptive as well, shredding mailers he has already sent out.

Get your facts straight, nobody intentionally falsified an OC Grand Jury letter and lied about Harry Sidhu to the voters. The somewhat misleading letter was filled with the truth about Harry but his supporters are uncomfortable with the facts so they escalate their rhetoric to cover their shame. The Grand Jury anti-Sidhu mailer was clearly marked as coming from the Walters for Senate campaign. There wasn't anything deceptive about it. The Grand Jury did, in fact, disapprove of the City of Anaheim's handling of the illegal immigration issue. There isn't anything wrong with that.

Even Barbara Coe, founder of the California Coalition for Immigration Reform said that "It [the mailer] sounds like it's totally distorting the situation, [t]he last I heard, they were doing a very good job in Anaheim. It looks like Mimi is going a little over the top." If Mimi has to resort to tactics as brutish and immature as sending fake government documents then she really must be slipping. I'm a little worried that an Assemblywoman would imitate government papers for her own gain, makes me wonder what else she's capable of!
