SD33 Watch: Disarray In Sidhu Camp
Posted by: Jubal | 05/20/2008 2:49 PM
The Harry Sidhu campaign has all the hallmarks of a campaign in disarray. The local cable systems were recently called by Harry Sidhu told they would no longer be dealing his consultants, Coronado Communications, but that henceforth Sidhu would make the buys himself.
After being bombarded almost daily with Sidhu mailers for the last few weeks, the Sidhu mailers suddenly stopped arriving last week (there's been no cessation of Mimi Walters mail).
A new Sidhu mailer finally arrived in today's mail -- but it is clearly not something produced by Coronado Communications: too dense and wordy.
This leads me to believe Coronado Communications and Harry Sidhu have parted ways.
Harry Sidhu is also planning a press conference tomorrow morning in front of Anaheim City Hall to make an announcement an insider told me would be "talked about through the next election cycle." I take that to mean the announcement of either a turbo-charged endorsement or some major mud-slinging.
Or maybe Harry's going to announce he's dropping out and running for Mayor of Anaheim in 2010. Who knows?
We'll find out tomorrow.

I'd love to see that wordy mailer...
Big Mistake Harry Big Mistake
They are no Tim Clark, but they know how to win
Moster Mistake Harry Monster Mistake
I have left Neil's campaign because it is losing badly and have come to put Harry over the finish line. I am Gary Rove Karl Thompson and I finish campaigns.
I am supporting Mimi but I have great respect for Duane and Jennifer and how they help candidates win. If indeed Mr. Sidhu had ended his relationship with Coronado Com he has in fact ended his chances of winning.
The Sidhu Campaign is set to announce in Wednesday that they have replaced Coronado Communications with the Hoa Van Tran Campaign Team as soon as they make bail.
This doesn't make any sense -- if Harry Sidhu is going to cut his relationship with Coronado Communications, then why the hell does he want to hold a presser about it? Who in their right mind want to promote unpleasant news about their campaign?
Odd...I guess all of us will have to wait and see.
Harry is probably making a big mistake.
As a businessman, he should have learned that a leader knows when to delegate to experts.
But, he's a self-made man who has always relied on himself when things are tough. So, things are tough, and he's reverting to form.

I prefer creativity, unique campaigns, and personalized attention to third-rate personal assistants and cookie-cutter campaigns. I'd take DDD over Tim Clark any day.
