SD33 Watch: Crime Victims Group Endorses Mimi Walters

Busy day in the 33rd Senate District campaign, ain't it?

This just came over the transom from the Mimi Walters campaign:

Crime Victims United Endorses Mimi Walters for Senate

Lake Forest, CA -- Crime Victims United of California has endorsed Assemblywoman Mimi Walters for State Senate in the 33rd District Republican Primary.

In a letter to Walters, Crime Victims United President Harriet Salarno praised Walters for her record of promoting effective crime reduction measures and strengthening the rights of crime victims, and noted that Crime Victims United "unanimously endorsed" Walters' campaign.

Crime Victims United is a statewide organization made up of victims of crime, law enforcement, legal professionals and others who work to protect and enhance public safety.

"I am very honored to have received the unanimous support of Crime Victims United," said Walters. "The quest for justice for victims and their families in our criminal justice system is an on-going struggle and I am committed to working with Crime Victims United to improve and strengthen our laws in California."
