Two more mailers came through the mail slot of Casa de Jubal today -- one each from SD33 GOP primary foes Assemblywoman Mimi Walters and Anaheim Councilman Harry Sidhu.

Mimi's piece is a long, 4-color post card that's all about how tough she is on illegal immigration, including a message from Rep. Ed Royce about how tough she is on illegal immigration. It's a good piece -- simple, well-designed and imparts its message in about 5 seconds.


Harry's mailer is one of those "I wanted to sit down and write you a letter" type pieces.

I love this line:

"So last night, after dinner with my wife and children, I sat down at the kitchen table and wrote this letter."

And amazingly, via the miracle of direct mail, Harry's letter arrive at my house the very next day!

You gotta love the imagery. You can almost hear Harry's the clink and clang of pots and dishes as Harry's wife and kids clean up after the dinner, while Harry -- brow furrowed -- gets it off his chest that "we need to throw these bums out of office!"
