Mountjoy Violates CRA Rules to Help Sidhu?

As reported on RedCounty, the former Senator Dick Mountjoy taped a robo-call for Harry Sidhu. The message began, " This is retired Senator Dick Mountjoy, former president of the California Republican Assembly and author of Proposition 187."
What?
The CRA endorsed Mimi Walters in one of the few endorsing conventions that didn't end with a controversy. Can't say the same about the one with Dick's son Dennis.
Not only that, the CRA can now kick Dick Mountjoy out of CRA. Check this rule out.
SECTION 6.08. Termination and Discipline of Member.
(a) Any individual member of the CRA may have his membership terminated, or may otherwise be disciplined, after a hearing, by two-thirds vote at a meeting of the Board of Directors where a quorum is present, whenever the Board determines that the member has:......
(4) Using his name and title as a member of the CRA in endorsing candidates running for any public office, whether partisan or non-partisan, or for office in the California Republican Party without a vote of the delegates at a local endorsing committee..

As the saying goes we should not "eat our own." That said, for the good of restoring the Reagan values of integrity in the CRA, I would agree that my former CRA president, Dick Mountjoy, should depart. As Harry Sidhu did not receive the CRA endorsement, than this allegation represents yet another questionable act involving the June election posted on this blog. One may argue that Dick Mountjoy personally endorsed Harry, and, by the way, am former president of the CRA, which gives him some "wiggle" room. He was "only speaking for himself." Sure! I live in the District and received a campaign mailer from Mimi containing a matrix which includes the CRA endorsement for her and none for Harry. Although borderline, this is a blatant act to deceive non political registered voters in this Senate District. It was intended to confuse the voters.

I was very disappointed with former Senator Mountjoy for his actions in the 33rd Senate District as well. Using the CRA title is inappropriate. I don't know if he should be kicked out, but he must certainly be publicly reprimanded for this.
Also, where does he get off meddling in Orange County politics?
Oh shut up -- the Mimi Walters camp can try to kick Dick Mountjoy out of the CRA, big freaking deal.
He can always send out more robo call identifying himself as "Former CRA President...".
I admire former Senator Mountjoy for his support of Harry Sidhu despite of viciousness of Mimi Walters and her gang. He is still a Former CRA President no matter what. I think Larry Gilbert and Mimi Walters should both depart. We need to get California out of the crisis, and we need to get rid of the people who put Californians in it in the first place. We need a fresh breeze in Sacramento, and therefore I am in full support of Councilman Sidhu, his values, and courage to fight for what he believes is right for us. He has my support, as well as 70-80% of people I know in Orange County.
The CRA rules don't apply to the Mountjoys!

I think only the "shell" units of CRA should be allowed to vote on Mountjoy's status.

I’m losing more respect for Walters and her team every day. How can you smear a conservative icon like Mountjoy and still claim you care about the future of our party?
Much like Ackerman lives up to the first name, Walters should change the spelling of hers to "Me-Me" – because that seems to be all she cares about.
I don't see anything wrong with Mountjoy's message. Currently he is not representing our CRA as a president.
"CRA Republican" misrepresents the CRA every day with his posts for Dina Nguyen. Dina Nguyen couldn't get the CRA endorsement, but that doesn't stop him from misrepresenting the CRA position on this election on a daily basis. The CRA is losing it's discipline and it's credibility is eroded with every "CRA Republican" post.

Dear Artie, the only thing I have said in the past about cra endorsement convention was the FACT that your sis. Janet Nguyen was the ONLY incumbent in OC who has failed to receive a cra endorsement at the convention.
Janet Nguyen has been causing more headaches for OC GOP each year...

Personally I don't have any ill feelings against her except that I believe she should not represent us as a Supervisor.
Anon....I think you forgot to disclose the fact that last year you belonged to that sham pro- Janet cra unit for 2 weeks before it was rejected by our cra leadership. Not 15 DAYS!
Most CRA units are sham units. No one in the organization walks precincts anymore - just a handful of bloggers.
