Letter To Red County Readers From Chriss Street

Keith Rodenhuis from Treasurer-Tax Collector Chriss Street's office sent over this letter to Red County readers from his boss:
May 9, 2008As a result of the posting of an article regarding the interaction between my office and the office of Supervisor John Moorlach, the blogs have carried a number of posts opining about the situation and commenting on what appear to be the personal idiosyncrasies of Supervisor
Moorlach and his Chief of Staff, Mario Mainero. My office supports an open and candid exchange of ideas, but does not condone or encourage personal attacks on individuals who, either directly or indirectly, are the subject of those discussions.
The personal comments, posted mostly from anonymous sources, regarding Supervisor Moorlach and Chief of Staff Mainero go beyond the civil and legitimate parameters of acceptable discussion regarding public issues. Although John and I disagree as to how to approach a number of issues facing the County, there is no question in my mind as to John and Mario's integrity, sincerity and commitment to what they feel is best for the County.
I welcome a strenuous debate on the issues. I will not participate in, nor tolerate from my office, comments or actions that reduce healthy public discourse to schoolyard insults and trash talking theatrics.
