Janet's Going To Pay Jimmy
Posted by: Jubal | 05/08/2008 2:22 PM
I just spoke with Jimmy Camp, who had earlier been in conversations with Team Janet.
According to Jimmy, the matter has been resolved and Janet's campaign will pay Jimmy the final $2,500 of his win bonus.
Janet consultant Dave Gilliard said, "It was a misunderstanding among friends that was easily worked out once we all compared notes."
Kudos to Janet for making this right and lancing an unnecessary boil.

Good job. Jubal!
Janet is honest, will pay her bill. She has been very busy with all sham lawsuits filed from losing side this must fell off her radar screen. Only CRA Republican rant on and on about anything here he make no sense. Should go back to school, oh forgot, he has his own school ha ha
Matt -- does this mean Art Pedroza owes you an apology?
LOL. For which smear, insult, lie or distortion?
I'm sure Squealer will find a way pop his previous rants down the memory hole and to spin this.
OMG, Matt... why you have to blog this? We are trying to make evil Janet lady disappear from political radar. Did you not get memo or you unclear on this concept?
Anon. 2:56 aka Art Pedroza is really a semi loco Obama voter who has no business in this blog.
"Squealer"?
I must have missed something.
Is this a reference to Animal Farm? Wasn't Squealer the mouthpiece for Napoleon and the Pig Power Structure?
I guess it's my turn to weigh in on the situation. I did speak with Dave Gilliard this afternoon and any confusion regarding payment for my services was resolved and I think that all parties are satisfied with the outcome and I appreciate the fact that the campaign was willing to resolve this matter. That being said, I've been watching with great amusement the banter that erupted on this blog over this situation. People speculating, people bashing Janet, bashing me, bashing each other etc.. There's something that some of you don't realize and that is that for many of us politics is a business and most of us don't take it personal. Dave Gilliard and Adam Probolsky and I have worked together on many campaigns, but we've also worked against each other in some knock-down drag-out fights. However, at the end of the day we don't take it personal and we stay friends. Mike Schroeder didn't take it personally when I worked for Janet during the re-count. He still invites me to his house at Christmas time to drink seriously toxic eggnog and we leave it at the office. The same goes with almost everyone I've ever run a campaign against....with maybe the exception of Paul Horcher...he's never asked me over for a barbecue.... Maybe I've turned into a big Chuck Devore, hemp-wearing hippy since moving to NoCal, but you should all just chill out...don't be so nasty to each other in the blog world and maybe some day me and Schroeder and Janet and even Art Pedroza can all sit around a big campfire and sing Kumbaya....

You win the prize.
Come on Jimmy, everyone is anonymous here. This means no one is precluded from getting together around the campfire, regardless of what is said. The only bad thing about anonymity is that no one is held accountable for vile comments (which is why Art Pedroza will never be invited to a campfire).
While I'm probably guilty of a non-thought-out vile comment or two (it's easy to be thoughtless when no one knows who you are), my main reason for posting anonymously is to avoid getting caught up with these blogs. I can follow a topic for a day or two and let the blogs go for a week without having to worry about defending my myself from the likes of Pedroza. Sure, regular readers know he's nuts. But what about random googlers checking up on me for a business project that don't care about this stuff. They won't take the time to figure out that Pedroza is nuts and will just assume I'm too controversial. Blogging isn't worth it for me but I have admiration for people like Alan Bartlett who face this monster head on (Matt/Jubal no longer falls into this category since blogging has become his business).
Anyway, that my reason for anonymity even if I've made the mistake of getting too carried away and saying something mean. Unfortunately, I think many here are anonymous so they can be mean.
