Hoa's Hinky Campaign Report Countdown: Day 14
Posted by: Jubal | 05/05/2008 12:41 PM
If the Hoa campaign, by some miracle of ignorance, was unaware it had to disclose those expenditures, they have now known for two weeks and have taken no action to correct it.
Let me get this straight. Hoa Van Tran wants to be elected county supervisor, in which capacity, among other things, he will almost certainly have to vote on some form of TIN CUP revision or reform.
And yet Hoa refuses to fix his campaign report in order to accurately disclose all the expenditures being made by his campaign. If, by some accident of fate Hoa were elected supervisor, would he recuse himself from TIN CUP-related votes on the grounds that he deliberately flouts it?
But what the hey -- it's only a county ordinance. It's not like Hoa has to obey it or anything.

Hey Jubal ~ Has the Registrar of Voters been made aware of this on-going problem? MN
MN,
It's not a registrar issue, it is an FPPC issue.
But I agree with Jubal, Hoa's non-response in addressing this issue feels a lot like Janet's response to her reporting issues.
Maybe Hoa is ready to be suppervisor after all, sorry thats supervisor for non-Dina supporters.
