Peggy Lowe reports on Total Buzz that the OC Grand Jury wants the Board of Supes to reverse itself and place the mini-FPPC idea pushed by Shirley Grindle and Sup. John Moorlach's office.
Gloriaski. Asking the Grand Jury for its prescription on reforming TIN CUP is like asking me how to rebuild a car engine.
The Board should let that proposal moulder in the grave, shun the path to greater government control of political campaigns and develop a county campaign ordinance that acknowledges reality, respects free political speech and recognizes the possibilities for transparency and immediate reporting offered by modern technology.

I like Moorlach, but this may be an early sign of what politics does to good people - as their egos inflate, they become filled with the idea that more government is better.
We have quite enough interference in free speech, already.
And what the heck is with this Grand Jury? Let's leave policy-making to policy makers we can hold accountable, and send the Grand Jury home.
Well, I want to be tall.
