Edgardo Reynoso Slapped With Temporary Restraining Order

Posted by: Jubal | 05/22/2008 5:39 PM

Been on the road much of the day, so I couldn't make it to the court house to see a judge grant Courtney Rychel, a former intern at the Hoa Van Tran for Supervisor campaign, a temporary restraining order against Hoa campaign manager Edgardo Reynoso.

According to Courtney, Edgardo drove the Lexus he was driving into her lane, yelling and cussing at her, and flipping her the bird

Reynoso denies it.

I've spoken to Courtney on a couple of occasions. She does not strike me as the sort to make up stories. In fact, she was initially reluctant to discuss her experiences on the Hoa campaign. It's a no brainer who's telling the truth.

A hearing is set for June 6. More details over at TheLiberalOC.com and Total Buzz.

I'd say it is long past time for Hoa to fire Edgardo, it's clear Hoa is not a man in charge of his own campaign.

Not only should Hoa fire Edgardo, but Correa needs to get his brother in law out of politics once and for all and probably into some sort of anger management. This is completely disgraceful. Intimidating staff and volunteers, willfully and repeatedly violating state and county campaign finance laws, hiring gang members, and running people off the road in his car? No one with half a brain will ever hire this guy again.

Concerned Dem-
Are you responsible for the behavior of your in-laws?
I don't think you are. Nor do I think Senator Correa has the power to "get his brother in law out of politics"
We all have relatives who engage in behavior we find embarrassing. But there is little we can do about it.
So PLEASE stop trying to make this about Lou.
It's about Hoa Van Tran, Edgardo Reynoso, and the people who support them.

@Publius:

I don't know Edgardo or Lou, but it seems to me that if someone has really self-destructive tendencies, his whole family should be concerned. If it were my brother in law, yes, I think I would try to step in and get him some help, or at the very least try to get him to cease the destructive behavior. That's the kindest and most loving thing a family can do. It's clearly not productive for Edgardo to be a political organizer anymore. Not in Orange County, anyway. So, yes, I think said discussion is fair game.

It's called an intervention. And no one needs one more than Reynoso.

Bladerunner said:

Concerned Democrat---Somehow I suspect you're less concerned about helping Edgardo with anger management than in taking a shot at Correa and trying to justify that shot as fair game.

Publius is correct. And it's pretty well known in concerned Democratic circles that Correa is not close to Reynoso who does not listen to Correa. Maybe Edgardo will listen to you. If you're so concerned, give it a shot.

Maybe Edgardo and Lou aren't close but wasn't it Lou who brought this guy along. Lou continued to get Edgardo opportunities despite the historical issues we all heard/know about.

Are you saying that Lou never influenced anyone to consider Edgardo based on his brother-in-law status.

Lou helped all along despite these issues.

Yes, now they may not be close but if it wasn't for Lou, Edgardo wouldn't be in the OC.

Hoa needs to fire edgardo tommorow.

Edgardo should be fired? Yes AND JAILED!

If for some miracle Hoa Van Tran makes it to the run-off, the first thing he needs to do is fire his current campaign manager.

Bolsavik said:

All you all are talking as if Hoa had the right or the power to fire Edgardo.

Since when do puppets get to fire the master's other puppet?

Bladerunner said:

Joey--- Nice try. Edgardo may now be operating from the Dark Side but Lou presently has no influence on Edgardo. Whatever influence Correa may have had in the past is no mas. Lou did not attempt to influence anyone for Edgardo's last three jobs. In fact, the DPOC was informed that they were not doing Correa any favors by hiring Edgardo. How he got in the County is not relevant to this campaign. The issue I raised was that Edgardo does not listen to Correa. Correa presently has no influence on Edgardo. Do you have any evidence from this year that this is untrue?

Enough about this anger-driven loser and back to the important issue:

which side's legals bills belong in that missing campaign finance report?
