DPOC Tells Hoa To Be A Good Boy

There was much anticipation that the Democratic Party of Orange County might actually withdraw their endorsement of Hoa Van Tran for Supervisor.
After all, the OC GOP in 2006 called on 47th CD nominee Tan Nguyen to withdraw from his race over what was (very) arguably) a mistranslation.
But it didn't happen. My understanding is a resolution to rescind the endorsement failed by a two-to-one margin. Then DPOC members moved a resolution calling on Hoa Van Tran to amend it's still messed up campaign reports, cease and desist its hostile working environment, blah, blah, blah. All the things a campaign is supposed to do in any event.
Then, a DPOC member moved to amend the resolution to apply it to all Democratic campaigns -- and it was adopted by a two-to-one margin! So in a single action, the DPOC members rendered the entire special session completely meaningless and unnecessary.
At this point, it's really a moot point. The S.S. Hoa Van Tran had taken some direct hits and was listing badly, but that nuclear-tipped torpedo from the Janet Nguyen campaign has already sent it to the bottom.
It's just kind of sad to see the DPOC's last action in the matter end with a whimper, rather than a bang.

Matt,
It is a shame I quit the Central Committee last week. I would have added friendly amendments that we give Hoa a great big DPOC Group Hug, that we congratulate the cholos on his campaignn for vandalizing the property of supporters of that evil Republican Janet Nguyen and that we all join hands and sing kumbiya.
MAtt, my disgust knows no bounds at this point. Score one for gangs and corruption.
