DPOC Fails To Rescind Hoa Endorsement

I just heard there were two attempts at tonight's Democratic Party of Orange County Central Committee meeting to rescind the party's endorsement of Hoa Van tran for Supervisor.
Both failed.
Better hope the party doesn't catch too many fleas from lying down with this dog of a candidate.
I'm sure there'll be more details soon on TheLiberalOC.com.
UPDATE (10:10 p.m.): Peggy Lowe posted this earlier tonight about the DPOC meeting tonight, including the actions of the apparently shameless Edgardo Reynoso.
UPDATE (10:36 p.m.): Sean Mill posted his take on tonight's DPOC meeting. It was only a matter of how quickly he could pound it out. Like a cop waving pedestrians passed a gruesome crime scene, Sean does his best "move along, nothing to see here" imitation: Hoa's just a victim of a smear campaign, and now that he's finally, 40 days later, decided to comply with county campaign law, his failure to do so isn't worth talking about it. Not that Sean has ever thought it mattered. Hoa's a Democrat, after all.
Sean even got in some preemptive spin.
Note to Sean: Hoa wouldn't have filed the amendment is Chris Prevatt and I hadn't kicked up a fuss and kept the focus on his failure to comply with TIN CUP.
One last point: Edgardo never publicly admitted to any errors in the campaign report, and always talked about them them as "ifs."
Yet one of the omissions was a $3,000 payment to Edgardo! In other words, he knew the payment to him hadn't been reported, and refused to admit as much.
Keep in mind this is the guy Sean treats as the Oracle of Hoa.
Both failed.

I hope that Hoa Van Tran runs in every election cycle for the next ten years!
Hoa is an albatross around the neck of the Democrat party.
The DPOC is a joke. It is run by a bunch of limousine liberals, who are trying so hard, yet so cluelessly, to create a Democratic presence among Vietnamese-Americans that it's just pathetic to see. At first, the DPOC seemed really desperate when they chose this lame combo of Hoa Van Tran and Do Phu as their team of choice out of nowhere to run against Supervisor Janet Nguyen. Now, they don't have the back bone to do the honorable thing even though they can see that their man/men are a couple of hacks, so they just look impotent.
Of course, being from everywhere but District One, save for a few affluent pockets such as Floral Park, they don't know what to look for if it hit them on the head. Some hints to the DPOC (or may be more specifically to Frank, Wylie and Mark): don't annoint someone just because they kiss your ass the best. There are credible candidates who choose to maintain their dignity and who do not resort to exaggerating their history in a way that are difficult, if not impossible, to prove or disprove. To put it another way, don't just look for demographic profiles; you should actually pay attention to their qualification and ability.
