This came over an hour ago from the Neil Blais for Assembly campaign:
Mayor Neil Blais Condemns Supreme Court Ruling
Vows to Fight for Traditional Family Values
(Orange) - Conservative pro-family Republican Neil Blais blasted the Supreme Court ruling today that overturned Proposition 22 and allows same sex marriages.
"This is totally outrageous," said Blais. "As a conservative and a strong supporter of traditional families, I will fight to ban gay marriages from California and restore the will of the people. Today's ruling by the Supreme Court, if upheld, poses a significant threat to the traditional family as we know it, and what we witnessed is typical of overzealous Justices who think they can legislate from the bench. When elected to the Assembly I will do everything I can to ensure that family values are protected."
Blais is a conservative Christian who firmly believes in family values and the sanctity of marriage. Active in his local church, Neil Blais received the support of the pro-family, pro-traditional marriage Family Action PAC, whose President Larry Smith noted: "We need more Republicans in the Assembly like Neil Blais who put their ideology into practice, and that's why we're supporting Neil Blais."
Neil Blais is also endorsed by Assemblyman Todd Spitzer to replace him in the 71st Assembly district, along with the majority of Orange County elected Republican officials.

Is this the same Neil Blais that proudly accepts the endorsement of a Gay Republican Organization that is Pro-Gay Marriage ??
Once again Neil is going both ways
Dear Mr. Blais
You took our endorsement and we expect a payback. As a Member of the Legislature you can perform civil marriage ceremonies. When can we start booking your services ?
To be fair and evenhanded to both Mssrs. Blais and Miller, now that the Califoria Supreme Court has render their decision, and no further action is needed by the Legislature, their opinions on this matter are, at best, irrelevant. Perhaps they could now start discussing some serious issues facing Californians, like, say the budget and spending.
I think that the decision was a poorly reasoned case of judicial activism. But, what is new?
It's in the hands of the voters now. The voters can amend the California constitution or not.
I dread the campaign. If you think that Walters v. Sidhu was bad, this is going to be one ugly fight.
The GOP will have to handle this carefully in the year of Obama.
Actually, it's now a campaign that won't be fought because the marriage amendment petition was a fraud perpetuated on the voters. It says:
Amends the California Constitution to provide that only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California. Summary of estimate by Legislative Analyst and Director of Finance of fiscal impact on state and local government: The measure would have no fiscal effect on state or local governments. This is because there would be no change to the manner in which marriages are currently recognized by the state.
But we now know that it does change the manner in which marriages are currently recognize by the state, so all those petitions will be send to the nearest landfill...to rot.
Cabana Independent, yes papers can rot but same goes with your brain
Neil stay strong with your pro family principle! We are proud of you
