AD71 Watch: Blais Calling on Miller to Release Emails

This came over a few minutes ago from the Neil Blais for Assembly campaign:
Jeff Miller Still Refusing Release Of 'Damaging' Scandal Emails
Miller Ignores Call by Voters for Full Disclosure
(Rancho Santa Margarita) - A day after it was revealed that Jeff Miller was blocking release of additional emails about his so-called energy 'consulting' business, embattled Assembly Candidate Jeff Miller still refuses to release the balance of the over 300 emails that the Corona City Council collected regarding the now defunct energy consulting business and its ties to Corona's attempt to establish its own energy utility.
"Jeff Miller continues to duck this issue," said Blais Spokesman Bill Cizmadia. "Miller sued his own city - the Corona taxpayers - to block the release of these emails, and he still refuses to fully disclose their content."
"How does Jeff Miller expect the voters to trust him in the Assembly when he won't even come clean on the energy scandal?" continued Cizmadia. "Voters deserve better, and we call on Jeff Miller to release the content of the remaining emails."
Jeff Miller pushed the plan to use eminent domain to take over Southern California Edison's power lines, and he secretly formed a company that would profit from the scheme. The failed energy takeover ultimately cost Corona taxpayers $3 million. When the city wanted to release the over 300 emails about the plan, Miller sued his own city of Corona to block their release. Miller's attorney admitted that these emails would be 'damaging' to Jeff Miller.
That led the local Press-Enterprise newspaper to conclude:"The city's failed takeover of Edison's facilities cost taxpayers $ 3 million, and eroded confidence in local officials. At the same time, two councilmen, Jeff Miller and Darrell Talbert, launched a utility consulting business that improperly mingled their roles as city officials and private entrepreneurs - then fought in court to conceal public documents about the scheme."Press Enterprise 10/28/2004

I may be missing something here, but if these supposed e-mails are as damaging as Neil Blais would have you believe, then why did the Riverside Press Enterprise that reported so extensively on the matter in 2004 endorse Jeff Miller over Neil Blais? It sounds to me like this is the sign of campaign trying to make an issue out of something irrelevant.
Don Quixote chased wind mills. I guess Neil Blais chases e-mails. Can't really see how this matters too much since if there was anything there, it would have come out already. Can't we talk about something that's a little more recent?
So this is what the race for assembly has come down to? Neil, why was Miller not prosecuted? Why did he get re-elected? And since he serves with 4 other people, how did he do this by himself?
Sad...
The sad part is....
Why did Miller try and scam the city taxpayers in the first place? And to support the loss of $3 million dollars of their money, he has voted to raise their fees and taxes 300 times. And he uses eminent domain to take property and give it to private business.
He has no character, and his supporters appear to think that this type of behavior is perfectly acceptable.
That is sad.
Gary- Wasn't it you joking about Neil's absent behavior that coined him, "No-Show Neil"...and now Miller used your own internal joke on your friend?
Some supporter.
It is interesting that Neil would be concerned about Riverside County taxpayers....has he met even one?
What is Jeff Miller afraid of? Why won't he release his emails if he is so clean? It seems that Miller has a problem with the truth being out in the public domain. It sounds like his ethical standards are pretty low. Miller is certainly not someone that needs to be representing the 71st.
I think Miller is better at OC politics than home-boy Neil Blais. Neil, please keep telling Mission Viejo residents that Miller stood up to Edison. It only helps Miller. You might not be aware but power lines and Edison's bully attitude is a big deal here.
