AD60 Watch: It's A Mail Two-Fer For Hagman
Posted by: Jubal | 05/09/2008 10:14 AM
Two -- count 'em, two -- pro-Hagman mailers slid through the mail slot of Casa de Jubal yesterday.
One was from the Hagman campaign -- a 4-color, 11x17 foldout piece aimed at establishing Hagman's conservative credentials: HJTA endorsement, opposing to a laundry list of liberal policies, plus a dollop of police union and association endorsements (note to Hagman campaign: make another run at blurring the "Los Angeles County Sheriff" patch on the deputies' shoulder).
The other mailer is the IE from the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association IE Committee. It's too big for my scanner, so I can't reproduce it here. The theme is "Securing America's Borders...Protecting Orange County Families..."
It features a big quote from AOCDS president Wayen Quint and a list of police union endorsements (plus the imprimatur of HJTA and the National Tax Limitation Committee).
No mail yet at Casa de Jubal from the Larry Dick for Assembly campaign.
UPDATE (10:49 a.m., May 9): I just got a pro-Hagman robocall from Alan Barcelona of the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association IE Committee.
UPDATE 2: Martin Wisckol has a couple of AD60 posts over at Total Buzz -- here and here -- plus his story on the race that is running in tomorrow's OC Register.
