New on the LA Times' website:
I didn't see Rep. Loretta Sanchez on the list. She maintains, with a straight face, that she's not against completing the 241, even as she helps to kill it. Must be due to that huge block of environmental voters in her district.
Eight congressmen urged the U.S. secretary of Commerce on Wednesday to overturn the state Coastal Commission's ruling against a proposed toll road that would cut through San Onofre State Beach. You can read the rest of the story here.
The eight are Gary Miller (R-Diamond Bar), Ken Calvert (R-Corona), John Campbell (R-Irvine), Ed Royce (R-Fullerton), Dana Rohrabacher (R-Huntington Beach), Darrell Issa (R-Vista), Duncan Hunter (R-Alpine) and Elton Gallegly (R-Simi Valley).

Next time you are sitting in traffic on the 5 freeway you can thank Loretta Sanchez.
That's fine. I didn't want to spend time with my family anyway.
Quiet news day, eh? It should be pointed out that 26 Congressmen, 1 Senator and 35 State Legislators wrote in demanding that the Coastal Commission's decision be upheld.

They all know that this plan is a farce and won't solve traffic any better than other alternatives that actually protect the State Park, not gut it like the 241. Remember, voters love their state parks, and politicians know this. Find another solution.
Truth isn't decided by a majority vote, pal. Your comment just means there are 26 Congressman, 1 Senator and 35 State Legislators who are dead wrong.
Take your namby-pamby, "it will gut the park" hysteria and peddle to the poppy-seed rubes at Save Trestles. They don;t care about reality, either.
