Tony Rackauckas on the Nguoi Viet Protest: "If they are Suspected of Breaking the Laws, We Will Prosecute Them"

This afternoon, District Attorney Tony Rackauckas visited the Nguoi Viet Daily News to meet with the newspaper's management about the ongoing demonstration.T-Rack was briefed by Anh Do, Nguoi Viet's editor-in-chief, on some of the threats made by the protesters against her company and employees. The DA responded by saying that this is a grave matter and his department will prosecute anyone suspected of breaking the laws, including those who trespasses on the newspaper's property.
Nguoi Viet is also claiming that a foreign government is the moving force behind this protest to further undermine the Vietnamese American community in Orange County. I'm assuming they're talking about the Communist regime in Hanoi.
It is a pleasant surprise to know that T-Rack is paying attention to this issue and he is willing to issue warrants and prosecute anyone suspected of criminal activities.
One of the protest leaders, Trong Doan, was recently arrested on assault and battery charges and his prosecution is still pending. Ky Ngo, the other leading figure behind the protest is scheduled to appear before an Orange County Superior Court Judge on April 29 at 8:30 am. I'm hearing that more arrests will take place in the near future.

Protesters are not the communists, but they act like the communists, they are trying to control the Vietnamese media.
They don't want to have a second voice.
@Tomahawk: Nice catch. I guess there IS a commie around every corner!
"Protesters are not the communists, but they act like the communists, they are trying to control the Vietnamese media."
What a ludicrous statement! If the protesters are acting like communists, Nguoi Viet newspaper would be raided, looted and put out of business within one night. Because the protesters are not communists, that is why they are out there protesting. Just like there is freedom of the press, there is also freedom of assembly and expression. Of course, with these rights, there are laws that scrutinize and provide order to our society. The protesters have the absolute right to protest in a peaceful manner. I agree with D.A. Tony Rackaukus. If the protesters get out of control and violate the laws, then there will be repercussion for such acts.
Understand that, although, the newspaper has the freedom of the press and to publish what they like, they must take into consideration where, what issues and when they should and should not publish certain articles or pictures. For example, if a newspaper publish a swatiska or Adolf Hitler in a Jewish community, are the Jewish considered Nazies because they protest against that particular newspaper company??? How about if a newspapoer publish the Cuban flag or Fidel Castro in Miami or Havana, Florida? Are the Cubans considered communists because they protest against that newspaper company??? Get the idea...
Until you understand what these protesters, their families, relatives and friends had been through during the Vietnam war, you will never understand why they are out there protesting.

@Remember1974: Little-known fact - Fidel Castro uses the same flag as the anti-communist Cuban-Americans in Miami.
