DEBRA CARRILLO EARNS ENDORSEMENT OF PROFESSIONAL PEACE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION

(SANTA ANA) - The Professional Peace Officers Association (POPA) has endorsed Deputy District Attorney Debra Carrillo for Orange County Superior Court Judge in Office #12.

"Professional Peace Officers are pleased to endorse Debra Carrillo.  She has the integrity and experience to be an outstanding Superior Court Judge," said POPA President John Stites.

POPA joins a growing number of public safety organizations that are supporting Debra Carrillo's candidacy for Judge, including the Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs (AOCDS) and the Orange County Coalition of Police and Sheriffs (OC COPS), as well as Police Officer Associations representing the cities of Anaheim, Costa Mesa and Santa Ana.

"Law Enforcement is uniting behind my campaign because peace officers want a judge who knows the law and who is committed to both justice and public safety," said Carrillo, a former Laguna Beach Police Officer and current Criminal Prosecutor with the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

"Gaining POPA's endorsement is especially important because they had already been misled by another judicial candidate and were reluctant to get involved in the election," said Carrillo campaign consultant Chris Jones  "Their willingness to actively engage in supporting our campaign is another sign of Debra's growing momentum in the race for Superior Court Judge."
