Orange County Young Republicans Endorse Mimi Walters
Lake Forest, CA -- The Orange County Young Republicans have endorsed Republican Mimi Walters for State Senate, calling her the "clear conservative choice" in the 33rd District primary election.
"The Orange County Young Republicans strongly support Mimi Walters as she is the clear conservative choice for the future of our Party," said OCYR President Shawn Fago. "We believe in the Republican ideals of individual rights and responsibilities, a strong national defense, a functioning free enterprise system and limited government. Mimi Walters shares those ideals and we strongly support her."
First elected to the Assembly in 2004, Walters has established herself as one of the leading Republican conservatives in Sacramento, earning a 100% voting record rating from the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, the California Republican Assembly, and the California Chamber of Commerce.
"I am very grateful to receive the support of the OCYRs," said Walters. "These young professionals are dedicated and hard-working. I look forward to working with them to advance our shared conservative principles."
The OCYRs become the latest in a string of endorsements announced by the Mimi Walters campaign, including U.S. Representative Ed Royce, State Senator Dick Ackerman, Assemblyman Todd Spitzer, Assemblyman Mike Duvall, Assemblyman Bob Huff, Assemblyman Jim Silva and Assemblyman Chuck DeVore.

That is a nice addtion to the long list of endorsments she already has. I've heard the College Republicans out here like her a lot as well.
Isn't this endorsement about 5 months old? I think Mimi has already ran out of things to discuss.
Yeah, whatever. This is like sending out a press release saying Harry is being supported by Indian voters in the district.Everyone and their mom knows Mimi is in real with CWLA and OCYRs ($$$). Wake me up when something good happens...
To this day, I still think it is a crying shame that Mimi Walters was voted in over Tom Wilson for Assembly. Tom Wilson has been wonderful for this district. I feel like he was cheated. I will either vote for Mimi's opponent or stay home.
All I hear from the Sidhu campaign is the endorsement of a union!

This is actually a killer endorsement because OCYRs volunteer. OCYRs have transformed into a pretty good group of activists.
As for Tom Wilson, the guy was a total country clubber. And his appointee to the county planning commission, if I remember correctly, was anti-property rights. The guy was blah.

Tom Wilson was far pivotal in stopping the airport than Mimi was. That is the most important issue the district has ever dealt with period. Everything else is elementary. Tom Wilson should have won the seat for assembly. I feel like he was robbed by Mimi Walters.
