SD33 Watch: El Pollo Sidhu For Senate

mailbox.jpgI've seen some unique voter contact strategies, but this is a new one: campaign ads on the back of fast-food coupons.

In the 33rd Senate District race, Anaheim Councilman Harry Sidhu is slapping campaign advertisements on the back of these El Pollo Loco coupons from the Pennysaver -- which are valid through May 5 at three South County locations.

Not a very targeted method, but I guess you have to reach potential voters any way you can.

While not something I would suggest for a campaign, the sad truth is more people read fast food coupons than newpapers and political blogs.

Guess that explains why presidental candidates do so much better with comedy and fluff talk show apearances than hard hitting lefty or righty traditional new outlets.

$7.99 for a 10 piece deal sounds pretty good!
