Hoa Tran Supports Amnesty!

Gustavo of the OC Weekly just
reported that Hoa Van Tran - the sole Democratic candidate for the 1st Supe District - is in favor of granting amnesty to illegal aliens. Here is part of what Gustavo wrote:

Wow! That is such a bold position to take, even for a Democrat.Hoa Tran started his response by noting it was a "federal" matter, then said something else (sorry: the last drops of Makers hit my synapses at that point) but concluded that he's in support of amnesty. Didn't specify how, but such a position puts him in a decidedly different stance from Little Saigon's Boss Tweed, Van Tran (no relation), and draws him closer to the Latinos who make up a significant chunk of First Supervisorial District voters. Hoa: gracias for answering my question--if all the illegals in the First could vote, you'd win in a landslide.

You are correct. We do know what to do now. That's not to vote for Janet or Dina.
Good for Hoa Van Tran, it is not like he's going to get support from the right wing Republican voters anyway.

Actually, if you go to the link that Bolsavik provided, you will find that Hoa's position is not quite as bold as it first appeared to be.

Even more illustrative of the emptiness of Hoa's position on immigration was his response when he was asked what he would do about this issue as a Supervisor, “Nothing. I’m just stating my personal stand. It’s really a federal matter. I’m running for county office.” Strike Three.
Aha! Hoa is nothing more than an empty suit who likes to engage in sloganeering. He has NO ideas as to what he intends to do as a supervisor. If you don't believe me, just check out his website, at http://www.hoavantranforsupervisor.com/. You will find that he does not in any way mention what his plans are. That's because he doesn't have any.
Hoa is NOT ready for prime time...he is a minor leaguer trying to replace a major league All Star in Supervisor Janet Nguyen. No se puede Hoa!
