Garden Grove Approves Main Street Arches

Last night the Garden Grove City Council voted unanimously to approve the two metal arches on Main Street. The money will be coming from Janet Nguyen's Fund 130. However, the City Council also directed staff to further research as to which entity will be responsible for the maintenance of these arches. Janet appropriated funding to erect these arches, but the cost of long term maintenance is still questionable.
In my opinion, the Downtown Business Association and other merchants on Main Street should bear the maintenance cost of these arches since it is they who will reap the most benefits.

Wait a tic! I thought Dina was opposed to pork barrel spending!
I don't know how an arch will attract business. If people have a reason to go somewhere, they will. If not, they won't. As simple as that. An arch is not gonna make anyone more or less likely to come to Main Street Garden Grove.
