Everyone knew this would not change the special election results, but now that Janet's side can feel unthreatened - can we all admit it would be better public policy to count the paper ballots that come out of the electronic voting machines in a recount?

You should know what bogus is..after all the CRA rules that 50% of your charter members should live in the charter area where you want your charter. Well we looked up all of your Charter members at the Registrar of Voters and guess what???? Only one or two of your original charter members lived in Westminster!!! so you got your Charter under FALSE pretenses. Two of your members were not even registered to vote! YOu filed your chapter in April of 2002 and two of your members didn't even register to vote until 2004/2005!! That's another CRA rule, you have TO BE A REGISTERED REPUBLICAN VOTER TO BE A FOUNDING MEMBER OF A CHARTER. Then as if that's not enough, you had in your ORIGINAL CHARTER "The jurisdiction of the AMERICAN VIETNAMESE REPLUBICAN ASSEMBLY shall be within the Vietnamese American Community/City of Westminster, County of Orange, STate of California as now established or hereinafter created.

So that pretty much left out the rest of the residents of Westminster UNREPRESENTED since the Vietnamese community comprises only 38% (and shrinking from what I hear...they are moving out of Westminster to get away from their overbearing elders now).

But instead the CRA took the short cut and just let you re-name your group to "Westminster CRA" now. I know you are proud to change your name from the American Vietnamese CRA to the Westminster CRA, and after all you have lots of members that live in Westminster NOW, but not when you got your bogus charter. At any rate that's another chapter in the story of how you manage to alienate 60 % of the town. Good going there.

You left out a couple of important facts yourself. I have not refused to join CRA units, I was a MEMBER of the American Vietnamese CRA..and you should know this because you were there and we have talked about this many times.

Why did I quit your unit? Because a non-Vietnamese person that I know (you know who I am referring to) was appointed by you to be a delegate to a convention in Bakersfield. You told her she would be the delegate to cast votes for endorsements.

When Lou Correa left his seat, and an endorsing convention was held in Orange, Mr. Cuong Cao indicated that this non-Vietnamese person would no longer be the delegate to cast votes. At that time this delegate and myself were both in favor of endorsing Kermit Marsh. However, you replaced her with another person, a person of Vietnamese heritage. When this non-Vietnamese person asked why she had been replaced, your secretary asked you and told us that you thought because the name of the unit was the American Vietnamese CRA that a Vietnamese should be the delegate.

Feeling very discriminated against, both this other non-Vietnamese person and I declined to pay our next dues and withdrew from the AVCRA as we felt it was Mr. Cao's intention to only allow participation by Vietnamese in the OCAVCRA. So THAT IS WHY we wanted to start our own CRA.

So you may withdraw your lies now. And you know this to be fact because you were there.

You ask a valid question but the printed paper ballot used in the voting booth was never intended for recounts. It was legislated to provide a verification for the voter that the electronic vote cast was who/what they intended to vote for. So the votes cast and tabulated on election night are electronic with an extra verification by the voter. This is why it was called the voter verifiable paper audit trail and not the paper audit trail used for recounts.
