Riverside County Sheriff Endorses Republican Jeff Miller for Assembly
MISSION VIEJO, CA -- Riverside County Sheriff Stan Sniff has endorsed Republican Mayor Jeff Miller in the race for the 71st Assembly District.
"Mayor Jeff Miller is a man of integrity and a great friend of law enforcement," said Sheriff Sniff. "Jeff has been a tireless advocate for public safety policies that protect families and children in Southern California and I am confident he will make an outstanding State Assemblyman for the 71st District."
Jeff Miller is the leading candidate for the Republican nomination in the 71st District, and has been endorsed by respected Republicans and public officials in both Orange and Riverside counties. Miller is the only candidate with a strong base of support in both counties and he has long been associated with public safety and crime victim issues, most recently serving as State Co-Chair for Prop. 93 - Jessica's Law, to protect children from paroled sex offenders.
"I am very honored to have the support of Sheriff Stan Sniff," said Miller. "And I look forward to continuing to work with him and all our local law enforcement professionals to keep our families and neighborhoods safe."
Sheriff Sniff is a career law enforcement officer and a retired colonel in the Army Reserve. Sniff served 30 years in a variety of military staff and command assignments in infantry, armor and cavalry units.

Who cares about the endorsement of some Andy Griffith in Mayberry County ( ie Riverside). Blais has the only law enforcement endorsement that matters, former OC Sheriff Mike Corona.
Actually, I can't imagine Blais using the Corona endorsement anywhere. This enosrement from the sheriff would matter to someone livin under a shell the last year,
However, I never heard of this Sniff Sheriff as see this endorsement as a candidate gasping for air, when he's wolfing down a double double.
This endorsement just continual to tell voters in the OC that he's not from the OC. Did anyone really believe that this Riverside elected offico would endorse anyone other than Miller. Not a bright campaign move.
