Miller Brings Transportation Dollars Home
Years of Jeff Miller leadership pay off, campaign also picks up support.
Mission Viejo, CA -- After years of hard work, Mayor Jeff Miller was pleased with the commitment of over $15 million in transportation funds towards projects used by families across the 71st Assembly District.
"Last year I was honored to create a two county coalition that brought $22 million in transportation funds to Orange County for freeway projects. Voters in our over-taxed district have chosen to make roads a priority, and this commitment of over $15 million more just proves that our hard work is bringing dollars back to projects in our communities," said Mayor Jeff Miller. "For years, I've fought for lower taxes and I have a successful record of making Sacramento use our tax dollars for important projects like roads."
Projects approved in and near the district include road interchange projects at rail crossings in Corona, Anaheim and Western Riverside.
"I have worked with every Southern California county to use our taxes to build roads," said Miller. "As a result, existing tax dollars have built lanes on the 91 and now we are eliminating traffic at rail crossings, some which are blocked up to 6 hours a day. I am the only candidate that had a public position on using existing government dollars to build roads and we did it."
In recognition of his unmatched record on transportation, taxes, and fighting illegal immigration, Mayor Jeff Miller today also announced the endorsements of Assembly Assistant Republican Leader Bill Emmerson (Riverside), Assemblyman Tom Berryhill, and Riverside County Superintendant of Instruction Kenneth Young.
"To have the support and trust of two more members of the Assembly Republican caucus and the leader of our local schools is a great honor," said Miller.
To date, Mayor Miller has racked up the most endorsements, including five members of the Assembly Republican Caucus Leadership, in the race for the 71st Assembly District. For more information on Mayor Jeff Miller please log onto www.MillerForAssembly.com

Much more impressive that getting endorsed by a couple city councilmen, but still not too exciting.
If Miller is so concerned with transportation in Orange County, then why did he not stay at the 241 hearings to testify? He could've shown a little class and stayed to speak after eating the free lunch.
Big deal, Miller alleviated traffic at a rail road crossing in Corona. This effects 99.99% of us how?
Big deal, Neil Blais waited in line to speak at a Coastal Commission meeting.
What coalition is it that brought in the $22mil? What was Miller's role? This release doesn't tell us anything. Apparently the Miller campaign figures the voters in the 71st are dumb enough to go along with whatever his consultants churn out.
Exactly - Neil Blais waited all day to testify because he supports the 241. Miller ate lunch and left because he doesn't care, the more pressing matter of installing a new rail road crossing sign in Corona was calling him back to the Empire.
If Miller was able to use existing tax dollars by working with every SoCal county to build lanes on the 91, then why is the Riverside Co. side of the 91 horrible and causing gridlock?
Speaking of the 241, I noticed a huge illegal Miller sign today as I headed north from RSM. Sorry team Miller, but this isn't Corona - there are rules that prohibit unsightly displays such as your sign.
Just another reason to vote for Blais - he isn't so callus to think he is above the law.
Got it, anon at 6:18.
I'll remember that standing in line to talk is more important than actually delivering results.
The only thing Miller had delivered was a pizza.
Blais waited on line to hear that Royce, most of the Assembly leadership, and most of the Senators endorsed Jeff.
Blais cried in line to well short of 1/3 of CRA's vote for endorsement -- crushed again by Miller.
So now Neil is only left to brag that he waited in line longer to be laughed at by the Coastal Commission.
Well, come back in a couple of weeks, Neil. The voters are standing in line to tell you that you are just what CRA says you are -- less than 1/3rd the conservative of Miller.
But as you said, CRA is just a bunch of insiders and liberals.
"The only thing Miller had delivered was a pizza."
At least you can eat a pizza. Blais blather has zero nutritional value.
Well, I see the Miller pundits are at it again. So I suppose you all think Miller brought all that transportation money in on his own? That nobody else that sits on any of those regional transportation boards had anything to do with transportation funding? Do you think the voters are REALLY that stupid to believe that?
You folks are clearly grabbing at straws because you are now aware the Blais is in control of this campaign, and there isn't anything you can do about it.
I saw Jeff Miller eating Brandon Powers' lunch that same day.
It seems the 71st AD may eclipse the 1st Sup Dist for comic value. Sad.
