AD71 Mailbox: Jeff Miller First In The Mail
Posted by: Jubal | 04/10/2008 5:13 PM
It's an issue piece introducing Jeff Miller to AD71 voters and attempting to stake out the decisive primary high ground on on the right, specifically on the issue of illegal immigration. It echoes the issues being emphasized by another Gilliard Blanning Wysocki Associates client, Assemblywoman Mimi Waters, who's running in the neighboring SD33: conservative, anti-tax and tough on illegal immigration.

A very timely mailer, considering the events of the past week. Good job by Miller's team.
A very decent looking mailer, but just another typical cookie-cutter mailer by GBWA
3rd house is right...this looks just like pieces they did for Bates, Walters, Duval and Silva....I guess they work getting candidates elected in Orange County. Damn GBWA and their successful tactics!
This mailer hits the nail on the head. Hardly cookie-cutter and very effective using an article just a couple days old from the newspaper.
“Candidate Jeff Miller, a member of the city's Parks and Recreation Commission, said he supports designating Chavez's birthday a paid holiday for city employees.”
Press Enterprise, 10/18/00
So let me get this straight. Miller panders for votes from the hiapnic population of Corona by supporting a Ceasar Chavez holiday so he can get elected to the Corona city council, and now he is miraculously transformed into some cursader against illegal immigration?
What a joke! What a great master at pandering he must be!
Jubal does not have a horse in this race? Very clever. He shows a parallel to Assemblywoman Mimi Walters in his commentary yet she has not endorsed Jeff in the flyer. Nor does he list any member of the o.C. Board of Supervisors that he should have a rapport with to promote common issues such as transportation.
9:44--catch up--The Press Enterprise made an error in that article and retracted it. It was a different Jeff.
1:12- So show the retraction. If it exists, lets see it.
Larry:
Jeff Miller and Mimi Walters have the same consultant, Dave Gilliard. The mail from their respective campaigns is going out during the same time period, and I pointed out similarrities in the mail.
How in Heaven's name can you distill from that some crypto-attempt on my part to infer an endorsement of Miller by Walters?
Then again, you also tried to manufacture, out of thin air, a conflict-of-interest charge against Frank Ury.
