Dina Nguyen Announces Campaign Team
(Garden Grove) - Coming off the heels of a very successful early fundraising effort, today Garden Grove City Councilwoman Dina Nguyen announces that she's brought on board strategists JohnsonClark Associates to head up her campaign strategy.
JohnsonClark Associates has been active in and around Orange County with victories in several legislative and local government races.
"Dina Nguyen is a no-nonsense business owner who will join the Board in the effort to strengthen Orange County's financial foundation and ensure that police and fire services are among the best in the state," said Tim Clark of JohnsonClark Associates. "We are glad to join the team and look forward to working with her in the coming months."
Councilwoman Dina Nguyen is a tough minded fiscal conservative who surprised many in 2006 by winning the hard fought Garden Grove City Council election by a substantial margin. Dina is a self made businesswoman who has an extensive background working with county law enforcement and court systems.
Dina's real world experience includes running her own small business and working her way through law school to earn her law degree. Prior to running for City Council, Dina served as a Commissioner on the Garden Grove Neighborhood Improvement and Conservation Commission (GGNICC).

BTW, this press release shows how the designation "business owner" is so desirable in elections. Dina was a bureaucrat in the OC court clerk's office for decades before opening her law office a couple of years ago. Yes, that makes her a business owner, but does that make her *primarily* a business owner, something worthy of being bragged about in a press release, over her decades as a government employee?

I believe it's the prerogative of whose side is writing the press release to spin the story as they see fit. Do you think it should be otherwise?
If so, I'll make sure to ask you to hold others to the same standard in the future.
Best wishes to Dina...it's always nice to get off to a good start and associate yourself with 'legitimate' team players...this news nicely compliments your decision to bring on a professional treasurer to handle finances...becuz as you know it's gonna get hardball from here on out...
Dina...in all seriousness...is an extremely effective leader and political competitor...you'll see her strengths emerge as the campaign progresses & as she rises to the challenge...
Stay focused...and more importantly, stay passionate and happy...I was ecstatic to see you enjoying yourself so much at the grand opening...campaign season is so intense & goes by so quickly as Attorney Lan mentioned...you really have to seize the day & enjoy the journey...your carrying yourself so well...don't let the 'pundits' get you down, I know their words & criticism can often be malicious and misdirected...
