Santa Ana Police Chief Paul Walters snagged some savvy, high-powered help in his quest to win the Board of Supes appointment to be Orange County Sheriff: Lewis Consulting Group.

LCG principals John Lewis and Matt Holder will provide advice and counsel to Walters in his quest for the appointment, and presumably serve as his campaign consultants should he be appointed.

This is a definite plus for Walters. I've known John and Matt for nearly twenty years, and they are in my opinion OC's best political consultants. I'm sure whatever advice they give to Walters will be sound counsel.

Among their notable wins are the defeat of Measure D and Chris Norby's 2002 upset of Supervisor Cynthia Coad. John and Matt ran Mike Carona's squeaker primary victory in 2006, and John also captained Carona's initial 1998 victory over...Paul Walters.
