Janet Nguyen has nothing to do with Tran's Assembly race

Posted by: Adam D. Probolsky | 03/06/2008 9:21 PM

The previous post on OCBlog suggests that Supervisor Janet Nguyen is somehow working on things other than her own re-election.

NOT TRUE.

A simple reading of the candidate log at Registrar of Voters show that Pham is running for OC Board of Education against Felix Rocha Jr, the incumbent.

Ok. Care to address the OTHER issues raised in that post Adam?

Such as: Janet backstabbingher Republican comrades to get in good with the Democrats during Andy Quach's mayoral run?

I'll wait patiently for your response, but I'll sit down first.

What about Schroeder? said:

What about Mike Schroeder meeting recently with Hoa Van Tran the Democrat running for the 1st District? I heard he offered his support to do "everything he could to wipe Janet off the face of the planet".

Van supports lots of Democrats and cuts deals with them too. Just ask Joe Dunn and Madison Nguyen.

How could Tran ever work in Central OC with her after this? said:

...the falling out between Tran and Janet had to do with Janet's paranoia that Long Pham was going to run for Tran's Assembly seat if Tran declared he was running for the State Senate seat Joe Dunn had just vacated (kind of silly in hindsight since Pham ran against Tran the next cycle). Since Janet was so ambitious and naive, she declared for Tran's Assembly seat before he announced he was vacating it - in hopes of getting the jump on Pham.

The result was the final nail in the coffin of what started as a mentor/student relationship.

The first rift happened when Janet, at the time still a member of Team Tran, decided to backstab Van and fellow Vietnamese Republican Andy Quach, who was running for Westminster Mayor against Margie Rice. Janet was running for Tran's vacated Garden Grove city council seat with Van's help, while he was in a cakewalk for the 68th AD General Election.

In typical Janet modus operandi, she decided to "play both sides", accepting all of Team Tran's help, while at the same time feeding critical inside the campaign information about Andy Quach to his opponent, Margie Rice...

Van's...., Does Van support Independent Party member aka Obama voter,Lefty loner Art Pedroza?

One who really knows said:

The fundamental question that everyone needs to ask is why, and only why Janet Nguyen, a former Team Tran member and a student of Van Tran who was reared through the ranks by Tran from the early years of the Garden Grove Traffic Commission(appointed by Tran)to replacing him on the GG City Council, is despised by EVERY OTHER Vietnamese American elected officials in California.

If you talk to each and every one of these electeds, he/she will tell you how all of them were back-stabbed and victimized by Janet Nguyen while they were mistakenly thinking that she was their friend and team mate. It is quite scary and that is why Janet Nguyen is in so much trouble that she is in now. Just talk to these people and they will share their Janet horror stories with all of you.

Keep in mind also that Trung Nguyen was considered an "elder brother" and endorser of Janet Nguyen as well, until she managed to alienate and burn him too. There is indeed a reason and rationale for why Janet Nguyen is so alienated by her own fellow Viet electeds, most of whom are in fact Republicans.

Why would Janet Nguyen further PO'd Van Tran? Is she asking for a political death wish?

Doesn't she have enough problems on her hands right now with a tough election? But this is so classic Janet -- secretly stabbing and slashing her real and imagined enemies.

Adam,

Are you sure where your client, Janet Nuyen, at 5:00 PM, today?

Van Tran did support Lan Nguyen, a decline to state, to unseat Terry Cantrell, a conservative Republican. Cantrell's loss was a huge loss to conservatives.

Since elected, Lan has been just another go along to get along school board member.

Geez I'm still sitting, waiting on that response Adam.

I think it's funny that you address one claim that Viorel brings up but not the others. It can't be that you don't have enough time, because you wrote this post less than an hour after Viorel wrote his.

Conclusion? You know that your boss is a backstabber and you don't know how to deal with it.

Would someone give more details regarding exactly what types of backstabbing activities Janet engaged in??? I think this is really important info...

Ouch, the knife in the back of Trung looks like it really hurts.

He's massively in debt and Dina does and files.

First they leave him out in the cold on Romney.

Now they've left him cold for Supervisor.

How is Trung going to pay his debts now, with Dina cutting in line.

Someone help a brother out!

I think the author of the previous post just did:

Isn't Margie Rice just as much of a Republican as say...Lan Nguyen?

Re: Anonymous said:

Margie Rice is a registered Democrat who helps and supports Democratic candidates.

Lan Nguyen is a registered Republican with a history of supporting and funding good conservative Republicans.

There are NO similarities between the two, even though that's Janet's only defense against the charges she is being accused of.

As our friend Bill Cunningham says it's time to "peel the bark off of" Janet Nguyen.

Anonymous said:

False.

Lan Nguyen was elected as a decline to state. He unseated conservative Republican Terry Cantrell. Van Tran was widely criticized among Republican circles at the time. Lan Ngueyn failed to register as a Republican until years later. Anyone who doesn't know that either has an even shorter history with the Party than Lan, or simply has selective, false memory.

Westminster Mayor Margie Rice is a registered Republican and was an incumbent Republican Mayor when Andy Quach ran against her. Back when Mayor Rice registered as a Republican is was done at the Republican Party of Orange County for all to see. Andy Quach is yet another example of a loose cannon Republican that has unsuccessfully sought to unseat a central Orange County Republican incumbent.

By the way, any response to Dina Nguyen's legal relationship with liberal Democrat Hoa Van Tran?

student said:

No wonder Art, a known operative against conservative republicans ,is always pitching for Janet.

He tells Dems that Janet loves Mexicans and she is a "DIFFERENT REPUBLICAN" than rest of republicans.

Re: Anonymous said:

It's funny that none of Janet's minions have come out and denounced the accusation that Viorel made against her.

I guess it must be true.

If so there is NO excuse for ANY Republican to continue supporting this ambitious, naive, and vindictive little girl.

In hindsight, wouldn't you agree that the Nguyens have been bad for the party and bad for OC? Just admit it. Janet is truly representative of the lowest common denominator and team Trung just won't go away. We need to scrap the whole bunch and find a real leader with real substance.

Brock Landers said:

Here Here Anon @ 9:48

couldnt agree more with you. How about we find someone that is respectable in the 1st District to run for the seat, someone that will make all the constituents proud and not alienate certain blocks of voters?

How about someone that will put the needs of the voters first before their own lust for power and revenge?

How about someone that will support good republicans instead of the crop of candidates we have before us?

Does anyone like that even exist?

Sad to say that i dont see anyone fitting that bill.

Too bad this seat will go to a Dem candidate. Are the Trannies and Nguyens aware of what they are doing? They are going to let the Dem walk right through and win this thing. Its a pretty basic understanding of how races are won and lost. Happens all the time. run two or more conservatives against each other in a race for a non-partisan seat and the vote is split, and the unassuming democrat walks right in without having to spend much money at all? is this what you want Van Tran? Trung? Dina? Janet? Nice work all of you. Real nice.

Re: Brock said:

Brock let me ask you a question.

Do you believe Sheriff Corona's scandal has given the OCGOP a black eye?

If your answer is yes, then you shouldn't mind that a Dem will take the seat from Janet. At least the OCGOP won't have to deal with the several black eyes Janet Nguyen would otherwise give us over the next few years.

I, for one, am ok with a Democrat temporarily taking the seat and saving us from the embarrassment this girl has proved to be.

Anonymous said:

Brock Landers,

The bottom line is this, given this unpleasant and untenable situation in the 1st District: We have a bad incumbent who is unfit for this seat, other than to enhance her position and maintain a job. Any good and responsible Republican would want to remove her from office given her many betrayals and misdemeanors against her fellow Reps who have mentored and supported her.

Ask yourself a fair question, 'Why is Janet Nguyen has so much problems and seem to attract trouble for herself everywhere she goes?" There is a reason for everything.

Anon 8:49AM,

Let's be honest. Margie Rice was a lifelong Democrat until she switched the party in early 2004. She is a shrewd politician, a wolf and a Democrat in disguise.
