Paul Hegyi, is chief of staff to OC Assemblyman Van Tran and he is running for State Assembly in the Sacramento Area (Assembly District 10) where he lives.

Hegyi has long-standing ties to Orange County having been a staffer and political activist in OC on and off for years.
His campaign got a big boost this week when the latest round of campaign disclosure filings showed that Hegyi who raised over $30,000 out raised his opponents both of whom have held elective office before, they raised $24,000 and $16,000 respectively.
The very large (geographically) district includes Sacramento and then a whole bunch or places you'd probably never visit if you're from Orange County like Lodi and Stockton and Amador.
Hegyi's strong OC ties have earning him a healthy dose of contributions for here and the endorsement from several elected officials including Assemblyman Mike Duvall and BOE member Michelle Steel, and local donor PACs including the Family Action PAC and GenNeXt,
Hegyi and his wife Julie (both pictured above) recently married.

Probo - don't go knocking Amador, not if you know what's good for you. And Amador wine is definitely good for you.
