Hispanic 100 Endorses Supervisor Janet NguyenIs it just me, or does anyone seriously doubt there are 100 Hispanics in the Hispanic 100? has anyone ever seen a list?
SANTA ANA, CA -- Supervisor Janet Nguyen continued her string of securing major endorsements today when Hispanic 100 announced its support for her re-election campaign in the First District.
"Supervisor Janet Nguyen has proven herself to be a great friend of small business owners and taxpayers in the First District," said Mario Rodriguez, Chairman of Hispanic 100. "She is working to attract new jobs to the central part of Orange County and to protect the county treasury. She has fought to bring needed services to her district and to do so in a financially responsible way."
Hispanic 100 is a prominent group of business and community leaders working to be a conduit between Hispanic business-owners and political representatives and to provide a clear voice on legislation, from the Hispanic business perspective, directly to legislators who impact the community. The group is active in political issues and campaigns that impact the Hispanic community.
"I am very grateful to receive the support of Hispanic 100," said Supervisor Nguyen. "Hispanic-owned and operated businesses are a major employer and source of economic strength in the First District and I am working hard to improve the local business and tax climate so these businesses can continue to thrive."
Janet Nguyen was elected to the Board of Supervisors in the 2007 Special Election to replace Lou Correa, who was elected to the Senate in 2006. Prior to her election, Janet was a Garden Grove City Councilwoman and a local Chamber of Commerce Vice-President for Governmental Affairs.

Smart move by Janet. With no Hispanic candidate filed, these voters are up for grabs. She is doing everything she needs to do to win her race.
Didn't these guys supported Carlos Bustamante? He ended up with 4th right?
Many OC Hispanic voters still remember the bad experience with Tan and Janet is NOT received well with open arms.
Hence the turn out will be really low among latino voters on this Supe. election.
Dina is the favorite for this race.
Does the latest poll show that Dina favored by 70% now, or is it still at 50%?
Who's the Hispanic 100? Do they even live in the area?
Understand the enthusiasm of the Dina's folks but Dina has no money. Van's influence is in a death spiral; leaving little chance to raise money. You don't need a poll to determine the above mentioned facts. Dina has no way of winning.
Anon @ 4:03 PM,
Wishful thinking, and keep on wishing.
Frankly, Dina's folks love your line of thinking. Underestimating your opponent -- full of vanity and false pride.
Nobody, especially incumbents, post yard signs three months before an election all over the area like Janet unless she knows that she's in political jeopardy.
It's funny to read posts attempting to belittle Dina, while they are running as if their days are numbered, which they are.
Anon at 4:03PM
Keep dreaming and bring in your endorsements. The voters will speak louder than anyone else whether it is from Lincoln Club, Hispanic 100.
This election will bring another and better Republican candidate to the Supervisor's office, i.e. Dina Nguyen. She receives a substantial support from her own community and electeds. That counts.
Latinos will not turnout. However, those that do will not be voting for Janet. She sent out a racist letter.
Asian 100,000 citizens want Dina Nguyen for our next supervisor.
People are shouting..ABJ, ABJ, ABJ..... Anybody But Janet............... loud and clear!
I hope Janet can see this and drop out from the race now.
The Hispanic "100" has never been bigger than maybe ten peacocks at best. They love to be invited to and seen at important events, but they never do anything or have any clout. They pump each other up with "You da man!", but that's the extent of it. Most of the members can't even speak Spanish as if that's not a joke in itself.
This is a non-endorsement if I've ever seen one.
Why is Mario Rodriguez wants to get into this sand box, living all the way in San Clemente? How many people in his organization actually live in the District? Why is he asking for friction and trouble with the anti-Janet camp? It's just inane.
"Mario the game" -
Is that a threat from the Trannies?! Geez, you folks are getting brazen, aren't you? I wonder how many fronts you'd like to open up. You've obviously never read your Sun Tzu.
JJC Fremont,
Getting a bit sensitive, are you not? Lighten up man.
Nobody is threatening anybody. Mario ought to stay on the side line and be nice to eveyrone. This is not his race. There's no Hispanic candidate, and the one that his group just endorsed DID bash the Hispanic community the last time. What does that tell you about him and the group?
Check your facts before making wild statements. He can't afford to create enemies and so can't you. Get it?
In the Art of War, Sun Tzu said never get involved in a fight that is not yours. I think he means, "butt out!"
JC Fremont,
Do you think with the Hispanic 100 endorsement, Latino voters will come out in drove to vote for Janet? You can review the last special election to see how Carlos did after he also received the Hispanic 100 endorsement. BTW, Carlos is a well liked person in the Latino community in contrast with whatever Arturo Pedroza said. The outcome will be the same for Janet unless the Hispanic 100 put out several hundred thousand dollars to campaign for her, which they absolutely will not do. It is just a matter of cost and benefit. Admittedly, members of the Hispanic 100 club understand this concept very well. There is no benefit; there will be no expense to be spent.
smart move Janet? Trying to get Hispanics vote just bite you back. I guess Janet just gave more weapons to the other candidates. Majorities of the Hispanics are anti-Janet ... hahaha
Janet Nguyen = malas noticias fpl = ABJ, ABJ, ABJ
The bad news for the Trannies is that MANY Santa Ana Democrats are now openly supporting Supervisor Nguyen. Face it folks - you are going to lose, and lose big.
Congrats to Supervisor Nguyen on her impending reelection.
Art the Loser,
There you go again, Artie. Have we heard of this line before? Last time was when you made that great prediction on Super Tuesday. What did you look like when the results come in? Ha ha!!
Many Santa Ana Dems coming out for Janet, huh? You make one. Love your counting method.
Janet is running scared because her days are numbered. She knows it but why don't you? Didn't get the memo? Losers do hang out together. You know it.
Dina will win big because she's just a better candidate. You know it Art. Stop denying the inevitable.
BTW, she doesn't own any knives either.
Art,
Let Janet enjoy the remainding days before she hand the seat to the next Supervisor.
BTW didn't you read the above ...
Janet Nguyen = malas noticias fpl = ABJ, ABJ, ABJ
Arturo de Piedra, is Janet completely giving up on republican voters now? Republican donors should ask for the refund from Dems. turning, sinking Janet and send it to official republican candidate Dina.
Official Republican candidate huh? Can you show me the endorsement or any type of document that says that?
Art, official Independent Party member, what do you know about real republican?
We don't mind you supporting Obama and Janet together but do not drag in our conservative official republican candidate Dina with your liberal associations.
I believe Dina is the true republican candidate in this race.
