ASSEMBLY REPUBLICAN LEADER MICHAEL VILLINES ENDORSES STATE SENATOR TOM HARMAN FOR RE-ELECTION
Huntington Beach, CA - State Senator Tom Harman today announced that Assembly Republican Leader Mike Villines has endorsed his bid for reelection. The endorsement by Assemblyman Villines comes on the heels of receiving endorsements from Congressman Ed Royce, Senate Republican Leader Dick Ackerman, Senator Tom McClintock and the Senate Republican Caucus.
"Over the years, Senator Tom Harman has proven to be a solid conservative vote in Sacramento," said Assemblyman Mike Villines. "Californians will be well served by having Tom Harman continue to protect taxpayers and fight illegal immigration in the State Senate."
"Runaway government spending and frivolous waste need to stop," said Senator Harman. "I look forward to working with state leaders like Assemblyman Villines to make sure we bring accountability back to government and ensure that our 'revenue problems' are no longer pawned off on taxpayers."
Senator Harman has served in the Legislature since 2000 and was most recently elected to the State Senate in 2006.
The 35th State Senate District includes the communities of Costa Mesa, Cypress, Dana Point, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Newport Beach, Rossmoor, Seal Beach, Sunset Beach and Westminster.
