Happy Lincoln Day! This came over from the Harry Sidhu for Senate campaign a few minutes ago:MISSION VIEJO COUNCIL MEMBERS ENDORSE ANAHEIM COUNCILMAN HARRY SIDHU FOR 33RD STATE SENATE DISTRICT
Mission Viejo, CA- In announcing today the endorsements of Republican Mission Viejo City Council Members John Paul Ledesma, Lance MacLean, and Gail Reavis, Anaheim City Councilman Harry Sidhu has further solidified support for his candidacy from prominent local elected officials in the 33rd State Senate District.
The endorsements from the Mission Viejo City Council Members signify consecutive majority support for Sidhu's candidacy from a city council within the 33rd District given the prior endorsements from the majority of the Buena Park City Council: Mayor Jim Dow, Mayor Pro Tem Steve Berry, Councilwoman Patsy Marshall and Councilman Don McCay.
"I have the best and easiest answer for anyone that says 'why are you supporting Harry' - the answer is: loyalty," declared former Mission Viejo Mayor and current Councilwoman Gail Reavis. "Harry is a loyal person. And, I would expect any time, whenever he serves in office that I could pick up the phone, call him, see him, and he will be there for me and for anyone. Because I believe that Harry has that very rare gift - he is a loyal person, and he will loyally represent the constituents in the 33rd State Senate District."Mission Viejo is the second most Republican city in the 33rd Senate District. Geographically, it is located in South County where Sidhu is not as well known as his opponent.
"Harry is a shining example of the American Dream and what is great about our country," said Mission Viejo Councilman John Paul Ledesma, a 10-year Mission Viejo Councilman and former member of the California Republican Assembly Board of Directors. "Harry came to the United States wanting to be an 'American,' and through hard work, he has become a successful, self-made businessman and proven Republican leader. He loves this country and wants to preserve the values and opportunities that America has given him. Harry will be a strong conservative leader in Sacramento and protect the 'American Dream' for all of us."
"As a successful local business owner and City Councilman, Harry will bring his unique public-private sector knowledge and experiences to Sacramento to promote economic growth and the transportation solutions needed for job creation and keeping California businesses here," stated Mission Viejo Councilman Lance MacLean who also serves as a board chairman for the Transportation Corridor Agencies.
"As an Anaheim Councilman, I've shown that good, conservative government works," explained Sidhu, who was elected to the Anaheim City Council in 2004. "I look forward to going to Sacramento to restore the public trust that government can work both effectively and efficiently."
In addition to the endorsements by the majority of the Mission Viejo and Buena Park City Council Members, the Sidhu campaign also recently announced the endorsement of respected Orange County Supervisor and Orange County Transportation Board Chairman Chris Norby.
