Republican Party of Orange County Endorses Shawn Steel for RNC National Committeeman

I just got back home from what was a long night and well attended Republican Party of Orange County Central Committee meeting. A lot of candidates showed up to collect signatures and announce their candidacies.
The OC GOP also voted overwhelmingly to endorse Shawn Steel for the position of RNC National Committeeman. Both Steel and incumbent Tim Morgan was there to make their pitch as to why each should represent California Republicans on the Republican National Committee.
Tim Morgan stressed his seniority/Treasurer status and what it means to California: more funding from the national party back to the state via competitive legislative races. Morgan is campaigning hard in the last few weeks leading up to the CRP Convention in San Francisco. I've received at least 4 letters and a postcard from him already. In those 4 letters, 1 was from Barbara Alby, the retiring RNC National Committeewoman and 1 from RNC Chairman Mike Duncan.
Too bad it didn't gain any traction tonight, at least not with the OC GOP.

We are all uniting under our respectful friend Mr.Shawn Steel. We need his leadership to fight Dems.
