Major Shake Up at Nguoi Viet Daily News

Yesterday I was told by a a friend that there was a major management shake up at the Nguoi Viet Daily News (NV Daily), the largest and oldest Vietnamese language newspaper in the country. The NV Daily Board of Directors recently voted to accept the resignation of the company's President and Publisher. Both the Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor was also removed from their positions with no formal explanations.Rumors are flying around in Little Saigon that the recent mishandling of NV Daily's Lunar New Year Edition was the cause of the shake up, but several people closely associated with the newspaper disputed the claim, yet they offer no details of what really happened.
The NV Board of Directors also named Anh Do, the daughter of the newspaper's founder and a columnist for the Orange County Register, as the new Editor-in-Chief. Do graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in English and has also worked for the Seattle Times and Dallas Morning News.
