How Measure D Effected 1st Supe Race

I've been occupied with a lot of activities so it's time to catch up on some blogging.
Measure D, the Santa Ana ballot initiative giving Council Members an extra 4-year term, easily cruised to victory on election night. As it stands right now, the vote tabulation is:
We all know that Measure D was placed on the ballot to extend the political life of Santa Ana Councilwoman Claudia Alvarez. What many people are not aware of is how this will partially shape the candidate field in the 1st Supervisorial District election coming up in June.
My sources told me that had Santa Ana voters rejected Measure D, Councilwoman Alvarez will certainly run for Supervisor to avoid political extinction. However, with its passage, Claudia will not throw her hat in the ring as she is happy for the moment in being a Deputy District Attorney and serving on the Santa Ana City Council.
So if the intel is correct, Janet Nguyen will not be facing a strong Latina Democrat from Santa Ana to challenge her for the women votes.

YES: 14,705 or 53.7%Even though this measure had little grassroot support, its well-funded backers put in enough resources to get this thing through the finish line while the opposition just mainly rant about it.
NO: 12,665 or 46.3%

Do you think this clears the way for Westminster Councilman Andy Quach to pull papers, too?
Tri Ta?
Lan Nguyen?
Andrew Nguyen?
Anybody but Claudia. She's known as the Hispanic version of Janet Nguyen -- mean, divisive, and bad tempered. Surely, a SA candidate should run and would have a great chance of beating Janet Nguyen.
"the woman votes" Tomahawk where did you get your language from? Where do you get this idea from? Because a woman runs it inspires more women to vote for a woman? That apparently was not true when Janet Nguyen ran for GG City Council or the BOS job, nor is it true when Rice runs for Mayor in Westminster. Men vote for women too you know. Sheesh...
wow...I think I need to get in the blogpen...
Anon at 7:49,
Have you heard "A Nightmare on Bolsa Street" aka "Anybody but Janet"?
You don't want to invite more candidates to gang-up on Janet. She already faces enough challenges.
I believe, Trannies' strategy is to drain-out Janet's campaigning war chest. By the time the June primary is over Janet will face not one, not two but multiple recounts and more. Look at these candidates' background, so far all of them are attorneys. They need no one to start the recount, then law suits, etc... A caveat, if Janet survives the primary. After June election, she will be empty handed like Hillary Clinton.
Can Janet garner 50% plus 1 vote? Absolutely, she has no chance to receive the critical mass to avoid a runoff in November election, with few exceptions, Tom Bonikowski (Janet's husband), Art Pedroza, and Adam Probolsky believe in the miracle. Again, Trannies' strategy is to splinter her votes in many ways they can.
With Dina Nguyen in the mix, Janet will compete with Dina for Garden Grove votes. Janet may have an upper hand here because she served there few more years than Dina has. However, with a charming attitude Dina will compete squarely.
Obviously, Trung wants to retain his base which will divide further and take away Janet's votes. Deja vu, these two will duel for each vote as we saw last time.
The newcomer, Hoa Tran, not a Trannie, is considered a lightweight. However, the conventional wisdom failed to recognize Trung's capability last time. So don't discount this person right away. The DPOC has wanted to make inroads into Viet community, thus this lawyer would be a perfect, for now, to take on Janet.
So, Janet will be attacked left and right, front and rear. At the end, she is so damaged and has no more money to limp toward the general election.
Hey Anon @ 9:59 AM,
Janet Nguyen is politically vulnerable and she will be beaten fair and square. The problem with your theory (or series of theories about financial war of attrition) is that there is very little facts backing them up, other than the current lawsuit with Trung.
Janet Nguyen is thoroughly disliked by many in the Vietnamese communithy that she is attracting all types of flak and opponents. But this is something that she casued for herself.
She will be beaten at the ballot box. The financial nightmare scenario is but a senario, nothing more.
What Democrat is running that has any sort of integrity from Santa Ana with the tired Renaissance Plan that has more gerrymandering than a Sacramento legislature? If someone did a poll today, not one of these candidates could get a name ID of more than a few percent in any community. So how does a few paid bloggers make up for a lack of name ID and no press? Keep dreaming
Only one of the Nguyens will have the title "Supervisor" on the ballot. Dina and "BK" Trung have NO CHANCE. The sooner they realize that, the better.
Dina hasn't been at any local events and hasn't made one important vote at City Council. We've already seen that Claudia Alvarez, Tomahawk's best friend, has already dropped out after seeing that her campaign wouldn't stand a chance against an incumbent Supervisor. At least she's smart enough to keep a decent job which requires hardly any work and absolutely no civic participation. Dina should follow in her shoes and stay with her boyfriend and her kick back job instead of running a campaign with a few bucks that she gets from the Trannies.
Please give Pedroza some meds. He's not taking them as he's still blathering non-sense on the blogs.
If Prozac doesn't help, give him some codeine. He's feeling a lot of pain.
Art,
You seem to be obsessed with Trung Nguyen while trying to denigrate him. Your behavior just tells us that you and Janet are afraid of Trung, who beat Janet handily in the Viet community last February. He'll do it again this June. Janet's days are numbered and a lot of people know it. Get your head out of the sand and face reality.
Keep trying to downgrade Trung and live in your own fantasy land. You and Janet are not very smart and that's why you are so popular, not!
