Wannabee Sheriffs' Proxies Plumping For Their Guys

So far, public comments at the Board of Supes is a parade of people advocating for their preferred candidate to replace Sheriff Carona.
One woman asked the Board to appoint Bill Hunt as did Tim Whitacre and kooky guy named Boatwright, and two other guys promoted Sana Ana Police Chief Paul Walters for the job. I don't remember what Darrell Nolta said.
The exception was perpetual Orange City Council candidate Carol Rudat, who asked that the Board not "empower" a single individual in order to give that person an advantage in a June or November 2008 replacement election (she's obviously unaware state law doesn't allow such an election). Rudat then advanced a bizarre proposal to divide up the Sheriff's responsibilities among several senior OCSD staff -- Little Sheriffs, so to speak -- until voters elect a Sheriff.

Mike Carona, OC's Next Sheriff

Carol Rudat, geezo....does the OC Sheriff office have anything to do in newport beach, or is she worried that they will finally catch her and her husband the disgraced David Rudat in another corruption case.
Carole Rudat? Wow! Uninformed and annoying! Bravo!
Jubal, is Rudat still running for council in orange?
She's ever stopped running.
Wasn't it a "Little Sheriff" that caused many of the Ex-Sheriff's problems?
Rich White guy,
I thought your hero would not resign because he was innocent. Your "He is until he ain't!" sounds pretty foolish at this point. It's OK, I will chalk it up to you just being gullible.
