This came over in the morning from the Concerned Women for America in California:
SENATOR TOM HARMAN HONORED BY CONCERNED WOMEN FOR AMERICA IN CALIFORNIA
On Saturday, January 26, 2008, Concerned Women for America of California (CWA) awarded State Senator Tom Harman (R-Huntington Beach) their State Legislator of the Year Award 2007, for his vocal support of the core issues that are the focus of CWA. The award was presented to the Senator at CWA's Culture Conference in Newport Beach, CA.
Sen. Harman has been at the forefront on legislative issues that: support the traditional family unit, preserve parental rights/authority and protect our children from predators and the negative ramifications of pornography. He has authored and/or supported many state legislative bills concerning these various issues, including The Parental Notification Bill SB 621 and the Internet Distribution of Obscene Matter Bill SB 368.
Sen. Harman values open communication and interaction with his constituency as seen by his holding of an annual Open House for questions and answers, as well as publishing a weekly e-mail newsletter entitled "Harman Report" to those interested in being updated on legislative work involving District 35 and issues in Sacramento.
Sen. Harman has also provided support to state and local efforts to control illegal immigration.
All of these areas of concern are included in Concerned Women for America's (CWA) six core issues: sanctity of life, religious liberty, national sovereignty, definition of the family, pornography and education. CWA has 23,000 members in California and over half a million members nationwide.

CONGRATULATIONS to Senator Harman! The award was well deserved. The senator has been a tremendous help to those of us who wish to see our immigration laws enforced.
Keep up the good work! And thanks to his entire staff, especially Emanuel for all his efforts in Laguna Beach.
I believe this officially makes Senator Harman the most conservative legislator in Orange County.
I hope the last two comments were jokes. True Harman has run to the right to save his political life, but confusing him as a real conservative is seriously not even worthy of a real debate.
