Huntington Beach, CA - Senator Tom Harman today announced that Orange County Republican Party Chairman Scott Baugh will be hosting a fundraising reception on behalf of his re-election bid.

In a letter to supporters, Baugh joined other Orange County leaders in saying "as an elected official, Tom has been a strong supporter of property rights and family-friendly legislation. He has signed the Americans for Tax Reform 'Taxpayer Protection Pledge', and is absolutely committed to being pro-taxpayer, pro-family and pro-business. Senator Tom Harman is doing a great job for us in Sacramento and we want to keep him there."

I have no problem with Baugh hosting this fundraiser ... he is party Chairman afterall.

But he has got to feel funny saying that Harman is a defender of property rights given his background with Harman in Huntington Beach where Harman's sole ambition was to trample property rights.

He'll also feel pretty funny once Harman becomes a lame duck Senator and starts trampling property rights in California.
