Wow, I look at this and see Mike Schroeders current conflicts with the Orange County community! Losing another appeal in court and then having to deal with the disgraced Mike Carona. The Dark Lord is losing his touch TD. I guess this pill is just a little too bitter for you all to swallow.

Nobody needs to do anything with Janet Nguyen, who has been very capable of cutting her ugly self up for all to see.

Tran and company don't need to do a thing. In the article, looks like she turned against all her sponsors and stepped on their heads. Trung Nguyen was at one time her supporter and endorser, before she burned him too.

So now, there's already three Vietnamese-Americans running for Supe? Does anyone want to wager that there will be more? Can someone say "split the vote"?

Hoa Tran is part of the Democratic clique set up by lawyer Phu Do Nguyen, who is advised by Dem wiseman Wylie Aitken. These guys have Vietnamese TV and radio resource for their campaign and they have been spouting off Democratic messages over the air waves for the past several months.

Janet will definitely need a drink . . . but not to celebrate her legal win. That's the easy part.

Typical. The OC Weeekly rarely gets it right when it comes to reporting on OC Republican politics. Schou even misreports recent history.

What a load of crap. A few months ago she refused to even acknowledge three Viet electeds at a Board of Supervisor meeting. They only wanted to AGREE with her that the guy they were honoring was a great community activists.

That seems kind of mean. Certainly petty.

She also had her brother try to recall Trung Nguyen (from the wrong office, but I'm not arguing her competence right now. That's a mountain to climb another day.) That is for sure mean.

There are several more examples but I think for Janet to say it is one sided is to deny reality.

Weekly is a joke: We're good enough with our reporting to get two Republican mayors convicted on felonies, a Republican sheriff indicted, a Republican pedophile in prison, and other stuff. And, as usual of most Weekly critics, you don't even bother to provide specifics--so provide 'em.

After reading the OC Weekly, it looks like Democratic Garden Grove City Council candidate Paul Lucas is not happy with Supervisor Nguyen after Lucas was not selected to be her appointment to the Harbors, Beaches and Parks Commission.

Nobody can blame Supervisor Nguyen for not appointing Lucas after reading the OC Weekly article.

The article was positive and made Schroeder et al look like a group of guys grasping at straws. Schroeder has now lost Carona and now is going to use his skills for Trung- does anyone else think that helps Trung? Another Vietnamese attorney in the race will be bad for Trung, now there are two Vietnamese attorneys in the race? Can't the Dems find one decent candidate that actually has a little bit of name ID? Seems they have given up and the only one left is Schroeder to throw the mud.

Having watched the Board on the internet for a while, for all the elected officials that come before the Board, most come to speak on a certain agenda item. Not one elected official that actually knows about politics expects to be called up before the Board meeting actually started. Get real!

The article was positive? Talk about your spin. Just don't get dizzy over it! The article made your gal, Janet Nguyen, look like a mean, selfish, conniving, and immature person. She's no victim and the piece showed that, quote by quote. Almost everyone who is quoted and attributed in there, who at one time or another, helped her get to where she is, disavowed her.

Take another careful look at the OC Weekly. Can't be good news when the OC Weekly writes about a GOP office holder. Look at their track record. Actually, the Weekly gave her many critics plenty of space.

On top of that, you are REALLY optimistic, or actually unrealistic, if somehow you think another Viet candidate, who happens to be a lawyer, will somehow not cut into Janet's numbers. Quite unbelievable logic from you!

it would be tough for janet to have more than one vietnamese candidate in this primary election. any of them can draw out part of group of vietnamese voters away from janet. if she survives the primary election, any democrat remained in the run-off will beat her hand down. overall, it is a bad news for janet. she should enjoy the next 11-12 months.

11-12 months is still more than what Troung will ever get to enjoy as a Supervisor. Ha ha ha!

Let me set the record straight for you:

A: I was misquoted. I never told the reporter that Janet yelled at me for supporting Dina Nguyen.

B: The HBP Appointment had nothing to do with it.

C: I was a strong supporter of Janet. Unlike those around her who only talk but are never around to walk a precinct or donate money.

D: Janet yelled at me (and others) several times about other things. I chalked it up to stress from campaign and court. But then it never stopped. Even after I donated money to her defense fund. I told janet, and her staff, Im not upset any more about the HBP issue.

I never was upset about not being appointed. I was upset that she told another elected official I wasnt going to be appointed after she text messaged me that she was looking into my credentials and experience for the position.

I was mad about being lied to. Not the position.

OMG, I just saw the most hilarious thing ever tonight. Janet Nguyen exploded on Truong Diep at a religious event in the Vietnamese community.

So Paul, I believe it now when you said that she yelled at you. Janet needs to go see a psychologist and cure her mental illness.
